The Cadian 94th “Brothers of Death”

So I’ve recently just finished Cadia Stands and learned of the 94th Cadian Shock Trooper Regiment and their destruction at Kasr Myrak. Since my grandpa served with the 94th infantry division in WWII, I’ve decided to take on the feat of “reforming” the regiment after the fall.

The plan is for the Regiment to be commanded by Colonel Rath Sturm, the only known survivor of the 94th after the fall. My plan is to reorganize them into the 94th Cadian Heavy Infantry Regiment, which will be a mostly Mech infantry list painted in vanilla Cadian scheme.

Dubbed the “Brothers of Death,” the Cadian 94th Shock Trooper Regiment was very much like any other Cadian line regiment serving on the Fortress world of Cadia.

When the 13th Black Crusade was unleashed, the “Brothers of Death” were assigned to assist in the defense of Kasr Myrak. During the defense of Kasr Myrak, the entire 94th Cadian Shock Troop regiment was destroyed. Only Captain Sturm and a guardsmen by the name of Arminka Lesk were thought to have survived the battle.

However, a platoon of troopers from 5th Company were sent out on a recon mission early during the battle. They were cut off from the rest of their regiment and after 100 days outside the wire finally managed to make it back to friendly lines. By the time they made it back, only 14 of them remained.

Now, Captain Sturm has been promoted to Colonel and been placed in charge of reforming the Cadian 94th Shock Trooper Regiment into the 94th Cadian Heavy Infantry Shock Trooper Regiment.

The survivors of 5th Company have also been assigned to assist in the reformation, with other survivors of the fall of Cadia and with imperial citizens from surrounding systems.

To show their combat prowess, survivors of the original 94th and the Fall of Cadia, are authorized to wear red berets and veteran Sgts are allowed red chevrons.

In addition, the original battle standard of the 94th Cadian was miraculously recovered and continues to serve with the regiment.

Colonel Sturm has one thing to say to the enemies of the Imperium, “Cadia stands!”

Below is a rough draft of how I see the reformed Cadian 94th organized as far as their combat units go. Looking for feedback on this, as regimental organization is something I struggle with.

The current 94th Order of Battle is as follows:

-4 Mechanized Infantry Companies

- 1 Company Officer (Captain,) 4 Company Staffers, 1 Company Commissar

- 8 Platoon Officers (Lieutenant/2nd Lieutenant), 4 Platoon Commissars

- 8 platoons of infantry

- 3x 10 man infantry squads, 3x chimeras

- Heavy Weapons Section

- 3x Heavy Weapons Squads (mortars)

- Hellhound Support Squadron

- 6x hellhounds

- Sentinel Scout Squadron

- 3x Armoured Sentinals

-1 Heavy Assault Infantry Company

-1 Company Officer (Captain,) 4 Company Staffers, 1 Company Commissar

-6 platoons of infantry

-1x Platoon Commander (Lieutenant/ 2nd Lieutenant)

-1x 20 man infantry squads

-1x Ogryn Bone ‘ ead and 4 Ogryns
