hiya, last night i had this idea that a group of grots got sick and tired of being bossed around by orks and getting stomped on etc etc that they have turned to the emperium, now they are loyal.
i think this would be a cool idea if i used commissars as slavers, or even more fluffier, the ork slavers got to attached to the grots and they became loyal aswell
the only problem i have found is that in australia it is 18 dollars for a pack of 4 grots, in the uk (foreign exchange) it is about 15 for a pack of 4 in the us it is 11 for a pack of 4 all theese prices are not including postage i have looked on ebay and they are selling all the old gretchin you got in the 2nd or 3rd edition starter set i think so does anyone have any ideas or any gretchin they are willing to sell on ebay or does anyone have a good link for some on ebay/other sites

Not fluffy at all. The moment the grots turned up on the Imperium's doorstep they would be slaughtered. Instead, you could make a REBEL GROT army! I am making one myself using the Imperial Guard codex.

fluff wise is up to you.. but I used 6th edition goblins and just gave them guns that I had from my bitz box.. very cheap and easy considering that a box will get you 20 models instead of 4.. its just getting the guns that will be the problem.. I think it is a great idea.. and its your army, and your fluff so who knows.. if Tau can have Guard conscripts then what is keeping the guard from having gretchin conscripts..
Cheers for the great idea mate.. Gris

The idea of an army with lots of grots is very funny! Consider you can have 6 troops choice with 3o grots in each....Wahoo! many models!! so many and for quite nothing!!! To do this take WHB goblins and convert them with whatever guns you have...

Cheers for the great idea mate.. Gris No no no no no! No way in HELL would ANY xenos find their way into an Imperial Guard army. The Tau use alien auxilaries because their Greater Good cause concerns all races, the overall cause is the important thing. The Imperium is superstitious, xenophobic and intraverted. No other race has any right to even exist! To be honest, the idea of Gretchin in an Imperial Guard army is the most rediculous idea I have heard for a very long time.

haha yeah...
no offence but we are allowed to be a little unserious with making armies from time to time what about people who do hello kitty themed armies and stuff like that.
and rebel grot army is a good idea and the rogue trader guy is a good idea
imagine 500 grots appearing at a guys doorstep pulling cute faces.

Of course! I have a rebel grot army my self. I was simply replying to grisnik's 'if Tau can have other races, why can't guard' - post. I have nothing against non-serious armies. But there is no reason why a grot army can't be serious. My rebel grot army is both serious, fun and fluffy.

Whatever its in the fun of things.. and it works.. ideas are good to have and I was just helping to reinforce the idea.. maybe I will have to go back to Canada, grab my grots that I have already converted and equiped with sluggas, and add them to my Cadian army then.. and begin to make all the fluff required to make it legal before taking them to a major tournament I might just do that now :lol Cheers Gris
