I decided to go for a mercenary army because I like the fluff and feel of them - the whole roguish, underfunded, band of warriors who work for coin over loyalty (to a digree); always scrapping for replacement armor plates and coal to power the warjacks with. anyhow here's what I've got done so far: Grunt the Grundback Gunner: Rusty the Grundback Gunner: Grunt and Rusty: my Talon conversion!:

I'm confused, is this game system set in the future or the past? they are running round in medievil armour with axes but also carrying guns!

the game is set in a fantasy world where steampower and blackpowder have been invented and harnessed but other than that it's still oldschool

I actually bought a Menoth machine while on holiday in Canada.. but haven't even tried to paint it yet. I forgot how hard metal is to work with at times after working with plastic for sooo long.. might have to give it another go though and try it out.. make it look pretty like TB's creations here.. still love those cloaks mate, they look like they are supposed to be manufactured that way..
Cheers Gris

heh thanks bud. I need to finish the squad!!! my progress on warmachine stuff totally stalled and I went back to 40k. when I look at my new fancy display shelves it blows my mind how much 40k stuff I've painted. there's just something about the massive scale of the game that I love.

there's just something about the massive scale of the game that I love. The reason why it is massive scale is GWś marketing point ¨you need lots of models to play+ GW sell models for high prices=lots of money for GW but, I agree with you, its cool to see a fully painted ig/space marine/ork etc army with lots of models, than 10 models.. but they still look cool. and I love the stuff you painted, great job TB!!
