Well now it happened... I started a new army. In this case Evil Sunz. I just got a Black Reach box today and will get the Ork half of another one in about a week. I'll go like I said for Evil Sunz and lots of vehicles and loud stuff Everything that is red is fasta and the louda and bigga the betta So all the old Waaaghbosses that have some advice for a new and ambitious Waaaghboss, don't hesitate to give some hints. Right now I have 1 Waaaghboss, 3 Deffkoptaz, 20 Boyz, and 6 Nobz (thanks to WD), and of course the Codex

more boyz! I'd get at least 20 shootas to go with your 40 sluggas, and you'll need at least 4 trukks! that'll give you a trukk for every 10 sluggas(they can fit 12, maybe you oughta look into getting a 4 plastic ork booster packs and mixing one of your nobs into each mob)
that way you'll have looks ot speedy choppin and a really big(30 shootas!) firebase of foot sloggin shooty death.
for heavy support I'd get me lot of of Kanz, maybe max out on 9 killa kanz, but you might want a looted wagon or battle wagon in there somewhere, maybe even a grot Zzap Gun battery, but killa kanz are a favorite of mine

I'd like to keep it as much as fluffy as possible. So I'll most likely need trukks for even the shootaboyz. What do you think about that? Can that work or is it total crap?

the only problem with trukks is that they can only carry 12
get yourself some battlewagons, I think those can carry 20 problem is you either have to make them yourself or buy from forgeworld a land raider makes an awesome battlewagon!
so lots of trukks with lots of small squads with bikes and kopptas zooming around like real speed freekz with battlewagons in your heavy support slots, carrying lots and lots of shootier orks, perhaps lootas but good ol shoota boyz are great as well.
I'm thinking maybe 4 trukks full of sluggas and 2 battlewagons full of shootas with fast attack slots filled up with bikes and kopptas and trukks for your elite units and then maybe another battlewagon with a big gun(reducing its transport capasity to 12) for your warboss and his nobs.
thad be tha way to do it proppa!

Indeed that's a problem, especially since I can't field 30 squads with Orks (with CSM that is no problem as they're too expensive)

Only advise I can give you is that you need to read the rules on the deffkoppta carefully. The scout move is killer for them.

I already read that. Scoutmove with jetbikes... I don't know what drugs they were taking when they wrote the codex... but I want that stuff too! And not to forget that you can already bomb them actually before tha game started....

Yep, Dem DeffKopptas are a nasty bit of work. I am sure that there will be addendum's to it eventually.

About the Battlewagons. Land Raiders are too small. I need something big and modular (for transport). Only scratchbuild will come into question there

the landraider is still a good starting point, gets you those nice big tracks, bash it together with a trukk or two, some plasticard, a big rolla, and there you go.
but its true, bigger is always best, and if you can scratch build the whole thing then more power to you!
I made a battlewagon out of 2 rhinos, some plasticard, a chinese knockoff transformer toy, and a buch of Ork and looted space marines and imperial guard bits, it ain't the biggest, other warbosses would probably laugh at me, but thats when I show em the business end of my kill cannon!

I think I'll completely scratchbuild them. Its still cheaper And I'll only need 2. One for my Waaaghboss and his 10 Nobz and another one for the Big Mek and his Posaz (I think they're called Flashgitz in English, Heavy Support guys)

Damn, everytime I read the Codex I find new stuff... I want Dokz for my Nobz and my Flash Gitz. Just upgrading one to a Dok with nearly the same CC capabilities but giving the complete squad Feel No Pain...
