Chuck Norris does not sleep. ..because he's too scared of Sly Marbo!

I can barely see him!
But then that's the point. The camo does serve to break up his form rather nicely. Even the scout head ends up looking nice (and they're some of the worst face sculpts I've seen on modern figures (why mine has a respirator). I would say the highlighting is a little stark, most notably on the trousers and the plants. I reckon a couple of glazes with appropriate inks would help out a fair bit there.
Particularly like the posing of the knife arm, that's not a standard one is it?

Beautiful! I love the camo.
Morat- I think that's actually a catachan head with some scout goggles.

Ah yes, so it is Happyorange. The headband tie at the back (as well as the hair) should have given it away. Good I can get back to my knee-jerk dislike of scout heads now.

Shucks, that's why all my scouts have space marine helmets.
Great Marbo by the way!

Thanks mates! This came up to be one of my favourite model so far. Particularly like the posing of the knife arm, that's not a standard one is it? I think it's a pistol arm from the command sprue. The hand has been repositioned a bit and the knife is shortened sword from the command sprue also. I really like that arm, it's nicely positioned and has that cool little knife betweent the elbow and the wrist which look very handy for a catachan. Used that same arm for the CCG medic too. Beautiful! I love the camo. Morat- I think that's actually a catachan head with some scout goggles. Actually the goggles are made from a sentinel smoke launcer. ;D

That is one epic Marbo model, its good to see a special character converted in such a way as to make it awesome.

Nothing special this time, just a plain Russ. Not even well painted:

The Marbo leaves me breathless and the painting on the tanks looks quite distinguished at well. I must agree, the tow cable looks excellent positioned like that. Additionally those extra items you've added using lascannon parts look wonderful. Your work is quite impressive.

How much converting did it take to get the barrel to fit or did you just glue it to a russ barrel???

I don't know, it's a nice looking model, it's no Marbo, but it's nice. WTF??? I don't remember typing that. OK, either there's gremlins about or I'm seriously losing my marbles. For the record, he's excellent. EDIT - I am losing my marbles, I did type that, I was referring to the tank and that it was well painted, just not as well as your Marbo. Old age, it's coming to get me guys.

Thanks once again for the comments guays! That's very nice, love what you've done with the tow cable. Thanks, got the inspiration from the tank converting guide on our local GW. It's actually two strips of metal wire winded tightly together and then glued to the plastic hooks from the original cable. Actually really easy to make and much more effective looking than that short and straight plastic piece that comes with the tank sprue, as it can be bent to any shape wanted. The Marbo leaves me breathless and the painting on the tanks looks quite distinguished at well. I must agree, the tow cable looks excellent positioned like that. Additionally those extra items you've added using lascannon parts look wonderful. Your work is quite impressive. There's onnly one lascannon part actually, the other power pacs and the wires are from the sentinel kit. How much converting did it take to get the barrel to fit or did you just glue it to a russ barrel??? It's actually fitted with a magnet, cause I have to use it on a another model also (Ork Fortress, heresy I know). But it does fit the place ofthe battle cannon quite nicely. Just cut the cannon away and glue the nova cannon to the place. EDIT - I am losing my marbles, I did type that, I was referring to the tank and that it was well painted, just not as well as your Marbo. Old age, it's coming to get me guys. Don't worry, it happens to us all. It's perfecly normal and nothing to be ashamed about.

Update from the Department of Conversions: Second squad of Veterans. These guys are from the auxiliary 13th Artillery Company of Dumetum IV. Metal heads are the new guard heads from GW, shotguns are from Hasslefree, and dark green parts are from Tamiya accessory kit.
