Ymmot (M.I.A): B movies are fun and all but it just seems umm....stupid? Of course it is, but that doesn't have to stop you from enjoying it... but actually that whole movie is pretty cringe worthy if I remember correctly, right up there with Killer Klowns from Outer Space. (Or worse, probably worse...but it has been a while.)

Ymmot (M.I.A): Yeah but how's the changed forum background? Is it any better? If the light blue is too bright i can always dim it down some.

Ymmot (M.I.A): There is that any better? I changed it to a darker green for most of the red areas. Yep, it's a bit better... but the red is what is jarring to me, all the other colors are kind of harmonious, they're a bit bright but they don't clash. If you are going to use the red I think it should be even darker.

I've actually gotten used to my board's color scheme. All you need to do is have a fairly well lit room, sit a ways back from the computer and get used to the brighter colors. Out of the current 3 forums i'm a part of it's the only one that doesn't have colors blacker than the night. Maybe that's why ymmot had trouble getting used to it though i'll admit the first version was a bit brighter than it is now. So far i've had 30 guests today in maybe 6 hours or so with maybe 1 or 2 counting as me not signed in. I'm not sure how that works. Whether or not IP address tracking means it only registers you once as a guest.
Anyway i played some more starcraft 2 with my cousin. Also i may have some really good news. I may be getting a a job with a permanent position at my cousin's mom's work place (a hospital). This will be a full time 9-5 job that goes on 5 days a week. I'm not sure if this'll work as things tend to fall through and i have to visit my dad for 10 days in arizona at the beginning of march but i could very well have a job. I'm very happy. Things seem to be going my way even though i didn't put too much effort into it yet. Go figure. I won't let possible good news put my hopes up too high though. Big hopes lead to big disappointment but i will see if i can do this. I have gotten temporary work from my cousin's mom before so we'll see where this goes. I don't even know what i'll be doing but i'm guessing it'll be assistant work, some low pay grunt work, receptionist stuff or similar. Can't really complain as work is work. I'd be surprised if it was anything that took a really huge responsibility.

Today: Curry!
Actually, given how long it took me to get started, and how long it needs to cook for, it's probably technically going to be tomorrow before I eat any of it, but I've been planning on getting this going since Friday, and so I'm happy I got around to it before any of my ingredients went bad.
Smells good already!

I don't make mine all that hot. If you get the right blend, you'll get a great rich flavour without the burn.
It went faster than I thought, it's just about ready. Smells like heaven. Got a Guinness settling to go with it, gonna dig in as soon as I finish checking my boards.
Speaking of burn, though, seriously, dude, your Skavenblight board is burning to the eyes. Those colour combos have been out of style since the mid-90s for a reason.

WestRider: Yeah, yeah, you make a board and then you have the right to complain. Anyway as i said it's still new and still being fixed. The board as a whole was started and not even fully functional since 12 hours ago. Anyway i think i fixed the board and at least made a blue color that fits and looks more normal and less burny to the eyes. So it should be even better now or at least i hope. I may have to darken the light green a bit so that it's even better. Ok so i darkened the light green a bit. The blue color is more aquamarine or similar (greenish-blue?) so it should be better. It's really a color scheme that does better when looked at in a well lit room i'm sure. Anyway it's 2:30 am over here and i'm tired. See you in the morning so hopefully if you're willing to complain about my forum you're also willing to sign up for it as well. Just for all your complaints i should put the forum in rainbow colors, lots of flashing seizure inducing colors or lots of bright yellow on light blue background. I mean at least it isn't super flamboyant with hot pinks and bright reds. Thanks to you guys my board now looks like kermit the mother fornicateing frog. Thanks a lot. Also i can't find the clip for some reason but i think frylock from aqua teen hunger force conveyed my emotions about you guys perfectly (at least right now) when he said, "Here's another one (drink) and i may have peed in this one." *master shake drinks it*

@req: Ugh i just don't enjoy the dark ugly blandness that comes with gray and black. I mean i don't like rainbows or seizures but a little color would be nice. Also green is the color of warpstone so it's there for a reason.

WestRider: Yeah, yeah, you make a board and then you have the right to complain. I don't do design work because I know I'm not a graphic designer. Pain is sufficient cause for complaint. It's also kind of a basic principle of functionality: You're not going to get much in the way of Forum Traffic from people who've clawed their eyes out because IT BUUUUURNS! In other news, I should have put more Curry Powder in. I under-estimated how much other stuff I had, and only got enough Curry Powder for the gallon and a half I thought I was making, but ended up with almost 3 gallons, so it's a bit bland. Still pretty good, though, and it does build up a bit over the course of a meal.

WestRider: Sheesh it's been up for one day. Give me a freakin break. Hookah, S.C.: Hahaha that's like tempting the alcoholic with some beer. This is only go to end with vomit and possibly pee or diarhea everywhere with you waking up unsure of what happened with a strange feeling in your buttocks. Then you'll get a call from some girl telling you she's pregnant with your child 9 months from now. The Hangover Part III: Hookah's Day Off. If a mod feels this is inappropriate feel free to delete it as i'll be away for hours most likely. I'm just saying i'm surprised if it hasn't happened with hookah already.

That's somewhat better, but I'd still go for a more coherent theme. If you look around at a variety of sites, most of the ones that look good use only one or two non-neutral colours. The IGMB is a good example, with black, two shades of grey, two shades of green. Note that the IGMB even uses a fairly harsh green, but because there's nothing that contrasts hard with it, it's not a problem. Or The Tyranid Hive, with its black and red. The reason The Under Empire Board is hard to look at is that you've got three strong bright colours there that contrast hard with each other: the Green, Red, and Yellow-Green all try to catch the eye and clash with each other. Stick with one bright colour for stuff that needs to stand out, and keep the other, darker, colours close to each other on the colour wheel, or as something neutral (grey, brown, black, white)
