I nominate "Double Jeopardy" for what it should be called.

We at the IGMB Tactica Imperialis project could do with more contributors. Currently, all the work is being done by only three people.

Happy Mother's Day, IGMB. I wish you all a safe parenting experience. Especially Mel.

Wait, Mellisia's a mother? The technical term is "Broodmother", I think.

Watched the season finale of My Little Pony, and am now devouring "Let's Watches" of it. Sometimes I still can't believe I'm watching something I ran screaming from as a kid (and I was in its target demographic!). I was a GI Joe girl, or would have been if my parents had bought me any. That has something to do with why I collect action figures now... Feth you Hasbro!!!
Finished Neil Shubin's "Your Inner Fish", picked up my first Daniel Silva/Gabriel Allon book and my first Jeeves/Wooster book. Also on my plate: The first Destroyermen novel, the rest of "Carrying the Fire", and the latest five or six Honor Harrington books. Also a couple books on '60s wargaming by Donald Featherstone; thinking of using my WWII army men to play some of the rules in them.
Also need to finish my granddad's interview - I'm up to his WWII training, during which he socked an officer for calling him a k___. Luckily his CO was also a Jew and only confined him to barracks, but he lost his buck sergeant's rank which he had only held for 24 hours. It explains why he only earned one Good Conduct medal, which as Bill Mauldin put it you got "for behaving for a bloody year."

Wait, Mellisia's a mother? She doesn't have to be one now for me to wish her to be safe. Or rather, that her kids stay safe.

Got a book haul today. One of Celtic myths and legends, one on American folklore, two on secret societies (one of which is less sensational), three collections of Lovecraft and Lovecraftian stories, a collection of Asimov, a collection of Poirot mysteries, a Heinlein, a Clarke, and Badenheim 1939 -- you know, to round out the collection. Normally this would all take me about three weeks, but since I'm so busy, it should last two or three months.

It's a decent collection. Nightfall and Other Stories, ISBN... ISBN... there is no number.
And no, just paper and ink.

Ah, Nightfall, the ultimate classic. My mom had a substantial collection of Asimov which pretty well jumpstarted my interest in science and skepticism. I've been reading his books of science essays recently.

RIP H.R. Giger.
The world has lost a truly talented artist.
May have to give "Alien" and "Aliens" a watch, as well as look through my Necronomicon books, later today.

OK I may need help with this...
Bill Gates is reported to be worth $78 Billion dollars.
That is so much money that he could put $600,000 in every square kilometer of England. Just a big pallet of money in each square kilometer.
Am I doing that math right? How about some US states?
