Merry Christmas!
Boxing Day battle fought at home; I'll have to write up a battle report.

trooper. my thanks for the video; love it!. You're welcome! Someone on the Retro Anime Club on the Book o' Face shared it last night. There is entirely too much awesome old school Macross (including bits from when Khyron attacked New Macross City on Christmas Eve), Southern Cross, Genesis Climber MOSPEADA, Captain Harlock, Space Battleship Yamato, and some other anime I can't identify in that clip not to share it. Plus, WEIRD AL YANKOVIC!!!

Welcome home!
Currently reading Frank Borman's autobiography. He went to the same high school my siblings did.
Just bought three more GI Joes (What am I thinking! I don't have room for this!) and dropped one of the fiddly little pieces I'll probably never see again. Actually I popped it out of the plastic, and it bounced off my head.

Never had any of the '80s ones as my parents wouldn't let me. So I've kinda ... overindulged ... since getting independent income, and the last few years I've put the money I'd normally spend on 40K into a modern collection of the original 1982 team, a couple of the 12" super-deluxe Sideshow figures, and a few of my favorite vehicles. I mostly collect the modern 3 3/4" to 4" guys, and mostly the '80s recreations rather than the movie figures. This lot was a three-figure set that included a realistic machine gun that fits into the Tomahawk helicopter. That was the main reason I got it. The figures are a modernistic General Hawk that I plan to use as a cool-looking generic trooper, an impressively hulking Leatherneck, and Destro (never was interested in the villains of the line, but he did come with a break-down sniper rifle I immediately lost the stock to).

Just ordered myself a pair of Canadian military surplus Mukluks... What insanity could this be connected to, I wonder?

You're going to glue them to the ceiling of your Super Basement. Nothing else makes any sense at all.

Dear God, please tell me you're making military grade dachshund holsters.

Did it melt the eyeballs from your skull?
I still maintain that everyone involved in the design process, right through to packaging the finished item should be taken out and DREAD-SOCKED!

Yeah, I had grabbed a "Turdbox" back in the spring out of morbid curiosity and a desire to see if I could rescue/de-derpify the kit, and I gave up on it after about a week of contemplation and effort.
