Hey,
My last gaming group fell apart, so I've decided to kick them despite being old friends, and hire some new fresh foreigners to partake in a series of RPG sessions. We're going to play via Skype, which is a free download and well suited for the purpose. Originally we used microphones and had a voice-based game, but getting together a group with working mics and connection is hard, especially since a few of them are probably going to end up living in America.
In any case, my game is a system-based RPG. I wrote the system myself, which is loosely based on the system in the Swedish game Viking (Neogames), but obviously extremely altered. You've probably heard me bragging about it, and while it isn't 100% polished yet, the firearms and shooting system is the most realistic one I've yet to see. And the melee combat is more or less straight from Viking, which is the most realistic close combat system I've seen. I'm rather proud of my game, and the system is still simple enough to still be fun. Forget crying over D&D, DH and VTM, in my game things do what they should and work as they would, to the point where you can still make it simple enough to be fun.
The game world itself is set in an alternative reality, in the year of 2209. The genre would be classed as primarily cyberpunk and post-apocalyptic, but with touches of survival horror, sci-fi and psychological aspects.
The background story is being written together (note, written together, not figured out, we did that a while ago) by the helpful Rolling Thunder, which you will receive later. I might post it here, but it's very long and it's more practical to simply mail it to whoever is interested. You will also receive a document about popular culture and famous personalities, as well as documents over weapons and armour. Feel free to peek into the gallery in the meanwhile, it's a compendium of various pictures related to the game, including pictures of all weapon models available for common purchase.

Password: cyberpunk
Requirements for joining the game:
-Good language skills, experienced and fast typing.
-Ability, and preferably experience, in describing feelings, events and actions by text.
-Reasonably stable internet connection.
-Dedication and focus. I don't tolerate chatting with other people, playing computer games, painting, modelling, browsing forums, reading comics, studying or anything else that will slow down your replies by more than 10 seconds. Only exceptions are viewing and reading documents related to the game, and the gallery. Eating and listening to music that fits the atmosphere is also accepted.
-Availability between 6 and 10pm GMT on the game days. If you live in the US, please look up the more exact times yourself, I don't know how many timezones there are on the island. The game days are decided once I have a full group, and are going to be two or three fixed days a week. We need to find days where everyone is completely available, if people just don't show up I'm ANGRY. Emergencies and unexpected events are acceptable, but to keep me happy you should make sure to send me an email, PM or notify my on Skype.
Group as of now:
GM: Makarova
Players: Rolling Thunder, The Envoy, Laughing Man, Sappmer
If I get more interest than there is room, you'll be filtered depending on the factors stated above, and how good friends I am with you.
Note that this is NOT a war/conflict based game. You're primarily going to play hired guns. Which may include anything from professional mercs, ex-gangers, militia dropouts, civvies who bought a 7mm pistol and a pocket knife in the lack of a better profession, mutant hunters etc. It's a dystopic, somewhat post-apocalyptic world and it's going to remain so.
And don't join if you mind descriptions of softcore porn.
