So, when I picked up the BA codex a while back, I was browsing the B&C, and there was a topic about running preds, and someone asked how a fully armored list would do, and so I wrote this up, and will probably make this some day....when all the hub bub of BA goes down.
3x Baal Preds-TLAC/HBs, EA (160) 480pts
3x Preds-Autocannon/HBs, EA (115) 345pts 187pts-9x RAS-meltagun, melta bombs
187pts-9x RAS-meltagun, melta bombs
LR-226pts-Multimelta, Searchlight
LR-225pts-Multimelta
2x Librarians-100pts-Blood Lance, Shield of Sanguinius
Total: 1850pts Limit: 1850pts Leftover: 0pts
So, what'd'ya think? ;D

Very tank heavy. A nice list, if short on troops. It's 20 infantry and 8 tanks, 2 of which are land raiders.
Your points costs are wrong on the land raiders, and you can't post the individual vehicle points cost in any case.

How are you taking LRs, in any case?

'How' as in force organisation charts, or 'how' as in whether they are redeemers, crusaders or normal LRs?

As in FOC. Neither the troops, nor the libbies can take them, and they're no longer in the HS section.

If the RAS is an assault squad they can remove the jump-packs, get a small discount on the cost of the dedicated transport. BA can field sooooo many LRs now, it's just not funny. Where did I put those lascannons?

They get a dedicated transport from page 90. The LRs are on page 91.

*Looks at codex.*
Bloody hell! It's a bit ambiguous. It does say "any dedicated transport", so I'd take it to mean that you can take them from both pages. Then again it does say "page 90", rather than 90 and 91, and termies take only from 91..
If this is true then only BA terminators can take land raiders, so if you want to go LR heavy then you can still only take 3 maximum until the Apocalypse level.
SOWAD might want to ring up GWHQ and get a ruling on that one!

The ambiguity concerns me, as with Ultramarines, you can take four, but BA get three. Which doesn't make sense when it says the BA have more of them.

If GW does it and posts it as a sample list, then it doesn't matter what the rules boys say. We can do it too.
Just a minor wording adjustment to the codex, then. (as in, "see pages 90, 91")

Yes, this issue has arisen on the B&C, and all the marine players there (a lot) have stated that the wording is off, but it still is "any dedicated transport".
As for the points costs, I will re-check. And no, I didn't list individual costs. Only the final cost + upgrades.

No it's a lot more than one point.

Remember that assault squads get trasports at a ** point discount.
so it is the base price of the land raider minus ** points plus the cost of a multi melta.
comes out to 225 according to my calculator...

Of course. Disregard that comment.
