Using Mordian models as officers?

What do you think? I was looking through the catalog and the idea came to mind.

I ask mainly because I'm wondering if it wouldn't look right for my 8th cadian army. The model obviously wouldn't match the rest of my Cadians, but I figure that the officers would look a little different. Good idea? Or would my coworkers make fun of me?

Does anyone have any other suggestions for making my officers or sergeants look different than just the shaved head with a headset. I was thinking of using various old Empire heads, or even new ones, they would have beards and stuff, does that make sense? I was also thinking of having a stripe on the back of the helmet they are wearing, kinda like what they did in WWII.

Anywho, any comments would be cool.

I have a few different type of sergs as well.. empire heads work wonders for it.. simple head swap, maybe some empire arms, give them an ancient weapon instead of a sword.. I have one serg holding a hammer, cloak, and empire head with a funny hat.. gives him personality..

Just because they are cadian doesnt mean that the odd hill billy or redneck gets thrown into service.. Adds flavour to the army.. so if you see a mordiheim model that might look cool to add then go for it.. I have witch hunter, and DH models in my army along with empire inspired sergs, and weapon crews

one thing that the imperial guard is is diverse pretty much any 'regular human' bits you can find go great with guard. you could even put a squad of some totally different model line in your guard army and just say they've been absorbed from some other regiment and integrated into your army.

I agree With the Both of them .. Hell, I Always See The Occassional Mordian Guard Model In a Squad Of Guardsmen Being Used As a Sarge ... Now I got My Problem ... I got one OOP Rouge Trader Guardsmen That Looks like Grissly Adams ... Full Wild Beard And Long Hair .. and Bald on Top .... Just Trying to Figure Out where to Use Him!! LOL

Commissar... or priest.. anything crazy actually would work.. but would definately fit better as that crazy advisor telling the commander to fire the mortors near close combat action..
