im planning to make a Conversion for my Army

A Colonel Commissar

I much like Gaunt, but I dont want to use his Model

So can I have some Ideas

Which models to use
Which rules to follow

So on and so forth

the IG sergeant model with chainsword and pistol arms would be a good base body structure to work with. it has a gaunt-like pose.

One of the old Mordian Sergeant/Officers could be a good idea as the already have a nice pose and are good base for commissars of all kind

You need to remeber, Im totally Remodling it, and I dont want a really Gaunt like pose, Im after something Un-Gaunt like,

Someone suggested maybe getting a Mordian Iorn Guard Model, some Headswap and such as, and I should have a Colonel Commissar

Only Thing is The Rules?
Do I make him follow Gaunts rule, just Modofiy them a Bit
Or mix up Heroic Senior Officer and Commissar Rules?

if I was doing a colonel commissar I'd use the officer from the cadian command squad boxed kit (the one with a straight back and powersword and monacle - fuzziness' avatar. that one.

Yeah that model would work, maybe even give him an officers cap?

could use the cadian lieutenant from the cadian officer blister pack and then put a cape on him or model a cloak or something.

I like using the Cadian Lieutenant with the peaked cap for your Col Com. As for the rules, give the Commissar an Honorifica Imperialis, increasing his wounds and attacks by 1, then put him with an adjutant (Junior officer) and the command squad. You could GS a Cloak or something that would mark him as being a senior commissar.

Yeah, but hes going to Lead the army and be a Commissar at the same
much like Gaunt.

make him the senior colonel of the army with a junior off adjutant
