Thanks. They are fairly speed-painted like the rest of my Krieg army but I am planning on giving the whole lot a makeover in the near future. Perhaps I will give them a darker colour scheme.

Anatoli, please edit those pics out of your post. They are violating GW's copyright. If they find out they will go berzerk and might even have this site shut down. Please remove them!

Got rid of the pics, GW should fu** themselves, like they dont make enough money ripping us off with the neverending pricechanges on their merchandize. The lucky few of you who got a glimpse are maybe as impressed as I am of the big lizards! Thinking about getting 3 of those big ones I will try to find out what WD issue it was and post the number here if anyone wants to get their hands on the mag.

What are you talking about? How do they violate GW's copyright? - if anything I imagine GW would be pleased to sell all the extra stuff needed for the conversions. Am I missing something? Please enlighten me.

He posted scanned pics from GW copyrighted material that you have to pay for (books, White Dwarf, Codexes etc.). Trust me, it is a violation of copyright. I am a moderator on another W40k forum and we almost got shut down because someone did the same thing. I am acutally surprised that the mods didn't react to it immediately. I'm sure we all want this site to keep running.

Posting any Images of Anything from a White Dwarf Magazine or Pictures from any Games Workshop site or Forgeworld site is againts the rules unless it has a refrence, and could result in the closure of the site.
Please, under no circumstances, post pictures from a White Dwarf Magazine without a Refrence, and if you are wishing to show things on a Games Workshop Site, Post a Link.

Well this were pictures from a WD, connected to this topic because they were showing different kinds of Rough Riders. They arn't avaible anywhere else than in the magazine and its at least a year old so if you didnt buy it back then you won't be able to see the content.
And the whole panic about the site being shut down (though I understand your concern) is preposterous and just shows how disturbed GW are. Here someone is posting pics that will make people buy their products and its forbidden. Its quite interesting if you compare it to the 2 dozen sites that for instance show "fan" made digitalpic of GamesDay display cases with new models? Arnt we all supposed to go to Great Britain and take a close personal look?
Speaking of GW, I had a chat with a friend over a game last week and he chuckled remarking how GW has become more paranoid and focused on making money. He recalled the "good old days" when GW would sell WD magz with Ork vehicle templates that you could photocopy and then cut out properly measured plasticard pieces to make your own , homemade Ork tanks, trukks and such.
There is a internetbased shop here in Lund that I use to buy GW stuff from and allways have a chat with the owner, he told me that a while ago GW sent him a letter that they wanted him to remove all the pics of their merchandise from his internetpage. I gotta say thumbs up for idiotical descisions, now when you want to buy GW products there is a goddamn link to the GW webshop site if you want to take a look of what you are buying? Exactly how is that going to help GW one bit? How come Rackham and others companies are not like this? It's troubling for sure.
Bobahat I saw somehwere on this site that you said you are a GW employe, I hope you understand Im not after you like some kind of medieval Inquisitor trying to rally a peasant mob with forks and torches. Its more that Im really annoyed by the way GW is acting as a company.

I wholeheartedly agree. The only problem is that whether we like it or not it is GW who makes the rules and we have to follow them or find another hobby. I like this site and don't want it shut down because of some pics. Surely it is possible to find pics of the minis in question and post a link or something.

Edited my last post and added another paragraph but you posted before I had changed it.
Im affraid not I have searched the net for the pics but didnt find any. The white dwarf issue with the pics and alternative Rough Rider rules is White Dwarf number 292 and has Whitch Hunters on the front page.
edit: the english version of the WD

No, but, I am the Commissar of this board, and it is my duty to make sure people remain true to the Rules, and do not turn heretical.
The Modissars are the Mods. DO not mess with them
