Hmmm, i've never been partial to the samurai, always looked on them as outdated and old. Too bad there are laws, you could have taken the flags off the backs of some Lord of the Rings models...forgot what they're called, odd, I usually know everything about that game.

You could use some Tau parts as they are quite japanese style...Very manga indeed!! just an idea...Hope that help!

Afaik conversions have to just 75% GW and the other bits you can take from everywhere you like and what you think it's suitable for your needs. And that country from LotR should be Khand, but LotR minis are smaller than 40k minis

Yeah! khand, thats what I was thinking of! Yeah, you could try using greenstuff for the flags with a little bit of toothpicks?

plasticard is better for the flags along with a paperclip as the pole.. bent to shape.. LoTR models are a lot smaller than the 40k counterparts.. so it would be difficult to get them to fit properly.. the samurai armor itself could be done with putty.. but use either procreate or brown stuff to create it as they will give a more rigid corner and look more armor like.. unless you want to have it more similiar to cloth.. then use greenstuff.. post pics when you have something though.. would be interesting to see samurai IG units

They are alot smaller but they are very nicely sculpted and to be fair, alot more realistic than the 40K models. Plus it would be illegal to mix the parts. I dont like the idea, it sounds cool to see like sergeants with katanas and such, but wouldnt they have like, rebreathers shaped like samurai masks? Maybe make the laspistols look like old flintlock pistols, it would be just as effective.

Its not illegal, i asked a GW manager, its just that its not reccomeeded GW staff cant tell people buy shelob to use as your goblin spider rider or somthing like that and at tourneies and golden demon you cant either.

And like I said before in this thread, every conversion is legal as long it contains a maximum of 25% parts of other companies and plasticcard, GS and that alike doesn't count for that...
