fits the fluff of the story made by commissar in his story 'Sleepless' where the planet is plaqued by zombies and his armoured company has to relieve all the remaining civilization. You can say that the chimera broke down and so the troops inside hasight off the incoming horde of zombies

forge world have a real nice fortified ruined chimera. You could use that as your centrepiece and have a few guardsmen inside defending it against orks or nids
I used to have a wrecked chimera bunker scenery thing.I don't now if they sell it any more but it was pretty cool.It had a sandbag entrenchment and room for about 10 troopers. All painted up it would look nice.

You could have your guardsmen in close combat with some dark elves. It could provide some good posing possibilities.

LatD = Lost and the Damned, traitor Guard and undead serving the Chaos armies. I allready posted this in another topic but what the hell. To give you some inspiration on how to make corpses/ zombies / un/ dead Guardsmen. Here is how my "cadian corpse" looks like being part of my Sentinel Base Made it by adding a cadian helmet, lasgun and some greenstuff to a WHFB skelleton, I think making a couple of these and mixing regular Zombie sprues with catachans would make a nice Zombie diorama. You could allways make piles of dead rotting corpses infront of a boarded up building occupied by a few guardsmen holding out against the LatD onslaught. You could also mix parts, like using the cadian legs with a skelleton torso with greenstuff added for the rotting effect. Its acctually quite easy to make one like this and posing him is easy cause its a plastic mini.

cool, and thanks for clearing up the lost and the damned, except my only comment about your sentinal corpse is the legs look a bit bulk, but everything else looks great

Yeah I know, but you just need to trim them down with a knife then to make them more flat since they are really made for standing on a base and look strange up in the air.

really well done. One of my first attempts was a catachan sentinal stepping on an orc and the driver hanging out over the side shooting a las rifle down at it.It didn't survive the move from Seattle to NY very well but i'll try to get it together and post a pic when i figure out how to do that.

Heres a good idea from these lot.
One Ruined Chimera, With a hole torn right out the side, A Bunch of Zombie's lurching towards it, and A Genestealer at the back of the horde.
A Heavy Weapon, hastly set up, a Heavy Bolter, shooting at the Zombies, with a bunch of Shotgun Weilding Guardsmen, keeping them at bay, as the Techpriest hastly works to get the Chimera working again.

That wound be a really interesting painting/drawing, but it may be a little tough to get a diorama for that, at least, in my opinion.

Im thinking of doing that now.
