Wow , love that paint scheme and you used HUMBROL paints you say? If you are going for the desert camo there are a couple of colors you could check out and decide upon. You can mix them to create a broader palette and save money.
Bestial Brown Desert Yellow Kommando Khaki Graveyard Earth Vomit Brown

i like that desert scheme, maybe you could use paint stripper or something on your tanks if you dont want that scheme, and yeah i agree with the desert camo thing, it goes for all camo styles.

Try a desert scheme, maybe for the fatigues try grave yard earth, highlighted with desert yellow and then with bleached bone, finally do a lightest drybrush with skull white on the sharpest highlights. Then keep the flak jackets green. Rifles could be black. Makes em' look like desert storm troops.

Oh no, I was talking about the American soldiers that went into the middle-east during Desert Storm.

One thing that looks kinda cool that I've used on my cold one rough riders, is kommando khaki fatigues with black stripes in the shape of ---> " < " They look like american desert camo from Iraq or other desert bound campaigns.

Thanks for all the replys and feedback. Yeah, I used Humbrol desert yellow for the light colour (I think it was number 93) and graveyard earth lightened and darkened with black/bleached bone until I was happy with the result for the darker colour.
As for my troops I`m thinking about doing the US design like a few of you have suggested. I think the design is called choc chip or something. I`ll look into the paints you all suggested in more detail.
I`m probably going to wait until the foundation paints are availiable seperately until I start on my troops. For the moment I`ll consentrate on my tanks because I`m happy with this colour scheme.
Again thanks for your advise
