After the success of the last competition, here comes the second installment!
Entitled 'Seasoned Veterans', this competition is open to models fulfilling the role of a veteran guardsman. Armed with a variety of extravagant weaponry, there is virtually nothing that can stand before him and his squad.
The entry should be a single veteran guardsman figure, armed according to Codex entry, on a standard 25mm or 40mm base. ]
I want to see Grenadiers and Demolitions. I do not want to see Forward Sentries, as they will be so awesomely camouflaged Only joking. No entries of veterans disguised as trees will be accepted though.
This DOES INCLUDE special weapons and sergeants if you so wish, as there was a close call between Veterans and Sergeant in the voting thread. The difference being though, that they have to look well 'ard. Submissions of a 'standard' (IE straight off the sprue) sergeant will be refused entry in the final voting thread. If I'm being generous, you're doing a bit of extra work to justify it
The models submitted can be converted, re-posed, whatever, although they MUST conform with the Veterans listing in the codex.
Any regiment can be used (even one of your own) so if you fancy Attilans or Valhallans, go for it!
Entries will consist of a Final Finished Product photo, and up to 3 WIP photos. At least 1 WIP must be provided, to show that it was your own work!
All entries must be submitted to myself via PM by November 19th at 24:00 GMT, and as with last time a separate voting thread will be created. That is extactly 4 weeks, the reason being will be revealed in the not-too-distant future......
The winner will recieve praise, glory, and a no-expense-spared sig banner (provided by Ymott Industries) to proclaim how awesome they are. Maybe some cool stuff too, depending on what I/anybody else is willing to donate.
As with last time, this is all in the name of fun, and improving our painting skills, so please submit a model, especially if you voted!
And please be as creative as possible! If you need inspiration (or a 'levels of crazyness' check) look at the last voting thread.
Good luck, may the painting gods smile upon you!
