Ok, im fairly new to this forum, so please be nice. I'm planning an IG army based around a planned superheavy troop carrier. the entire army is mechanised and they have no homeworld, this army is part of the 3rd Kaltan Mechanised Nomads. Led by captain White. The problem i am faced with is finding a model for Cpt White, as she is going to be female, as you may have guessed. my current plan is for a slight conversion of 'schaffer's rocket girl', the one right at the bottom and have her holding a bolter and possibly pointing at something to kill, and also a close combat knife made with a nid claw. tell me what you think, and alternative suggestions for the base model thanks |

Which minis are you using for your troopers? Are they Catachans? If so, I think Rocket Girl would be great as a base for conversion. Tell us a bit more about your army and I will give you some suggestions.  |

I like the idea of converting Rocket Girl. It would work best if you get a lot of Catachan bits into your army to make them look more tough and veteran.

aye that's a sweet model (rocket girl) to base a guard commander conversion off of. I'd definately pick her over the hospitaller (who looks to be in power armor, though females in power armor are alot more common it would seem than males since males=space marines and females=unaugmented human women so yeah. the thing that I'm trying to get at is that there's no option for anything better than carapace armor in the IG wargear dept., so the hospitaller would be unfluffy on some basic level).

use rocket girl and green stuff some cadian shoulder pads, the bolter is a good option but why don't add a power weapon.

Sound slike a good conversion, but she does need a sword of some sort, power weapon or chain sword.

I am not sure if rocket girl looks swanky, arrogant and charismatic enough to lead an army, although I think Rocket girl would be quite a good basis for an officer as there isn't another model which is suitable.

I seem to have a catachan Grenadier girl. She's holding a grende luancher and a knive she would be easy to convert. You could get her in metal in the Catachan Jungle Fighters with assault weapons booster thingy. I quite like that model. I don't think you would have to do anything to it to make it a suitable HSO.

i was going to suggest the female commissar also,although i do know that there are people making female guardsmen other than GW out of resin and they look very nice.
