Hey, New to Warhammer and so pretty good at painting the colours but when it comes to highlighting I don't have the foggiest idea. Could someone please fill me in on highlighting things. Any Help Is Great.

Do a search before posting. This question has been answered before and I am sure you can find about a million articles about highlighting if you search on Google.

cool, that would be good, even though there are guides on the GW website it would be better if real hobbyists could tell them because they would have made changes to the technique to make it better.

so to answer the question for now at least, lets say you're using catachan green (a dark military olive drab kinda green) to paint the armor of your model. once done, take a lighter shade of green and paint the edges of the armor where the light would catch on it if the sun was overhead. use a light enough shade of green so that you can easily see the contrast from tabletop distance but not so light that it looks over-highlighted. I've seen black templars with practically white highlighting and they looked horrible. you want to stay away from that effect. it's not a hard thing to do here's a great example of some nice highlighting from this very board: (scroll down to the pic) commissar.proboards22.com/index.cgi?board=picpost&action=display&thread=1182169162&page=2
