I was thinking about buying/assembling the models I don't have for this force but before I did I wanted to get some opinions to see how good/bad this list you guys think would be in a a take-on-all kind of 1500 pt tournament. Here it is as follows.
company command squad (support and medium tanks)
--> officer of the fleet, standard, missle launcher
* Platoon command squad ( targets infantry)
--> 4 grenade launchers
* Squad 1 and 2 (anti infantry and light tanks)
--> 2 auto cannons, 2 grenade launchers
* Squad 3 and 4 ( antiinfantry and light tanks)
-->2 autocannons and 2 grenade launchers
$ Platoon command squad ( targets infantry)
--> 4 grenade launchers
$ Squad 1 and 2 (anti infantry and light tanks)
--> 2 auto cannons, 2 grenade launchers
$ Squad 3 and 4 (anti light and medium tanks )
--> 2 missle launchers and 2 grenade launchers
* HWS: mortars
$ HWS: mortars
CCS --> chimera and 4 melta guns (monstrous creatures and tanks)
melta vets with chimera ( tanks and mkonstrous creatures)
Plasma vets + chimera ( 2+ armor and monstrous creatures)
Plasma vets + chimera ( 2+ armor and monstrous creatures)
*Summary*
130 guys of which 30 are vets
6 auto cannons, 3 missle launchers
16 grenade launchers, 6 mortars
7 melta guns, 6 plasma guns
and 4 chimeras ( 4 multilaser and 4 HB for added ranged anti horde)
I plan on either sitting back and using orders on the blobed squads to BID on tanks/MC or re-roll cover saves whichever is needed. Or I can use a chimera rush to pop out 7 melta and 6(2x6=12 rapid fire) plasma shots with orders from melta taxi CCS shooting into something(s) that must die. (12 str 7 ap 2 + 7 melta either resolling/ twinlinking onto Nobs, devs, termies, LR, etc).
The 3 mounted vet squads can also be used to grab objectives.
This list relies heavily on orders to be optimal since it has no ordnance but the bs 4 alpha strike chimera rush with the 16 blasts comming from the gl hedge against this I think. Give me any opinions you may have after reading this. Thx.
