You don't like the rattlings!? They are my favorite, i happen to have 10. For the conversion, you can go a simple as cutting of the tip of the lasgun and glueing a long round piece (i used part of a pike from the chaos rage but anything will do) and glueing the tip to that and that to the gun, or you can go complexe like him laying down with a cloak in ruble, etc. etc. Or you know, you could just but he cadina sniper models.

Happy birthday.
Try fixing the scope from the heavy weapons box to a lasgun...it looks pretty dandy.

for steel legion, grab yourself a paperclip and some tools. hack off the muzzle of a lasgun and extend it with a paperclip the same way you'd pin something. but longer. slap a Space Marine scope on it, too.
add some extra kit and poof! sniper.

another fine and dandy detail is the bipod aspect...wether the guy is standing up with it...it still looks awesome. take the arials from 2 spare vox back paks and cut em to size....attach them on the under side of ure converted lasgun and voila....

If you use tacks or very small, thin nails and use them as barrels you will soon have a very cool looking squad. I did the same for my snipers.

I will try it then! Umm... Try using a vindicare assassins rifle some how? marine scouts are great for conversions! I'm sure you can think up something neat and fun.

In a pinch you might be able to utilize a kroot rifle as a sniper rifle.
Another thing you can do is take a pen apart and use the plastic pen fill inside it. Cut to size and extend the barrel of your lasguns with that. (Cur the end off insert pen fill between the head of the barrel and the base.)

My ratlings are Elysian models with scarfs :} Their rifles are their tasty bullpup lasguns with necromunda ashlander sniper rifle barrels, and the bipods that come with the elysian weapon sprues, looks pretty spiffy IMHO.. I should post pics

That sounds like a good alternative to using those horrid little Rattling models.
What's "dragunov"?

The famous dragunov sniper rifles, the SVD dragunov. They are amazing little rifles.

I prefer Mosin Nagants myself. Theres something about having to manually load every round instead of semi auto.... How exactly do you plan to make these SVD Dragunovs?

I love the look of the Lee Enfield, one of them would look good in the hands of a cadian marksman.
(How weird are we? we have a favourite rifle each!)

Get youself a bunch of 1/48 or 1/35 british WW2 infantry models and you could model on a lee enfield. Since I have no models with me, I have an excuse for not bothering. WHATS YOURS?!
