As it says in the title it will be an imperial army blog, im going to try and convert all the models in some way probably just by putting carapace armour on, but in otherways as well, as you will all find out I recently bought some models of ebay, 3 heavy weapons squads and 25 imperial guard troops and i have like 40 imperial guard troops from an old imp guard army so they will be used as well as a couple of tanks and 2 sentinels and i have grand plans for them all feel free to give me ideas as i want to make this army look cool any on with the pictures ;D lots of bolter rounds muhahaha oh and btw the're a city fight army this will be used to carry around the armoured fist troops whilst blasting everything with bolters ;D the squad of heavy weapon teams the guys individually my favourite the leader of the squad and for no other reason than for him to look cool i also made him a voxoperator from team #1 the spotter guy for team #2 the missile launcher man team #2 The missile guy team #1 this guy was fun i did a head swap with the metal head of the cadian sentinel driver and i wanted the missile coming out of the launcher so i pinned it and added green stuff and i think it turned out well the loader of team #3 you may have noticed that there is no guy with a launcher in team#3 that is because im not sure what position he should be in so he'll appear later on and finally a vet. sergeant minus a head there will be more in the future any tips, comment, criticisms or ideas are all appreciated thanks matt

WOW! They're all brilliant! I love the missile that is being fired out of the barrel, not too mention the headless V. sarge.

Missile launcher is cool, I woulda used that goggled helm for a vet sarge, it seems fitting. But very cool greenstuff work there. The only suggestion I got is to switch out the stormbolter for a stubber.

Bloody cool! ( Darkside:Only problem is that missile weapons can't be fired fromprone, as they blow up...) But seriously, how do you make your models lie down?

WOAH....they literally blow my mind haha, i love the detailed little dioramas on the big base....ooh...ooh can i suggest something please!!! Anyway here it is, i like how the loader in team 3 on the big base is just behind that rock barrier....since the head is not on....i was suggesting you make it as if he was peering around the rock wall at the enemy. AND AND fer the misile launcher guy, he can be soldier crawling like the guy in team two, only this time he isnt going prone, rather he is dragging the launcher with him by the straps as if to avoid bing seen, getting ready to set up an ambush Good stuff again Matt, this was only an idea though, can't wait to see your guys painted!

no update today coz... ...woops i just cut myself really badly the blade went in it about 0.5cm and there was a ton of blood lesson learnt next time don't cut towards yourself ;D it probably wouldn't have happened but i lost my proper craft knife so i had to use a different one that had a different shape of blade so i have to cut in a different way so that every time i had to cut towards my hand my mum put super glue on it to try and glue it back together but she said if she could she would have put stiches in it (shes a doctot btw)
the vet sarge is not finished yet but he will have a bionic arm i did the arm on the 2nd missile launcher
i also did a small tutorial on the hands and ill do one for the lying down guy to i will make it better if i have the time but it wont be this week as this weeks hectic enough already with tests and rugby matches any way ingredients ;D: green stuff vaseline a sculpting tool a paper clip clippers a craft knife pin vice some of these aren't needed but they make it easier by a long way first of all take the pin vice and drill into the arm where you want the hand then using clippers cut the paper clip into a piece about this big then put the paper clip into the hole and use super glue to glue it. wait for this to dry then add a blob of green stuff dip the sculpting tool into some vaseline then shape this into a handish shape then add the fingers but making 3 lines in the shape then add a small blob of Gs for the thumb make it a bit more realistic and tadaa you have a hand easy as that thanks matt

Aww, damn. That looks bad. LoL. Bleeding... Anywho, that tanker has a funky hand, I mean it in a sorta good way sorta iffy way. It looks cool, but funny. Like, its a little small or something. Meh, it'll be fine. Cant wait to see more!

The size of the hand is totally fine. the only thing is that we're not used to see hands/fists without guns that often in 40k. So we only think that it's too small, but in reality it is fine but we only know "fists" while holding a gun...

He looks pissed off, I like it. He looks like he is saying a very bad word and implying the guy he is looking at has a good time with his hand.

Damn cutting yourself inte the finger is really painfull (the daily adventoures of the modern hobbyist) and disables one for a couple of days. I dont recomend anyyone to get GS-water/fluids into a cut wound. Great GS skills on the details, wish I had your skill, im still struggling with GS as I dont get to use it all too often. Great idea with the missile launcher and the GS smoke!

finally after the very long wait there is an update hooray ;D anyway we all want to see the pictures so... some troops, some of them i may change to vets with shot guns after if i buy the veteran pack from FW and then im going to make the FW shotguns out of plasticard but thats for the future there still WIP and some have no heads I'm not to fond of the respirators anymore as i feel they take the character out of the model so i'm going to scrap having respirators A little pic of what the guard will look like when all the GS is finished on their bodies a load of the bodies I started to make a prototype of the hellgun, ive got to get some plasticard to add the top sight thing In all the research i did for this project (finding cool ideas) I found that removing the eagle from the helmet looks really good when painted I did a trade and got 28 kaskrin backpacks its awesome The vox operators backpack just started Started working on some more vehicles Ive got 2 sentinels 1 russ and a basilisk ive got good ideas for all of them I added stuff on the side not very interesting but you can't really do much with a sentinel thats already been built. Plain old Basilisk im going to cut 1/4 of the shield off add using plasticard extend it around the sides and i might buy a second one and have people loading it I added a kind of filter for the engine like the ones forge world do its just the back of a search light with a bit cut off IDEAS any ideas on what materials and bits to use to make them? Some ideas for a leman russ exterminator Some rough riders storm bolters Vets and finally the loader for the 3rd missile team? maybe? Ill see if i can get some bigger pics of the ideas because they're really small images Man that took a long time copying and pasting all those links Well thats all C&C would be really appreciated thanks Matt

Nice models, they're great conversions. What's up with the vet sarge's arm though?
