What are the little glowwy orbs underneath usernames... I figure they have something to do with rank but that theory doesn't really fit because the Moddisars ones are green?
Its rather perplexing, help?

It is just another indicator to show how many posts you have got.. Not anything of value actually.. As with all online forums, post count isn't in anyway able to show if a person is giving you good advice..
And the Modissar ones are green because of.. *Gun shot...*

*Hides pistol behind back* What the late Krasimirova was going to say is that they're green because we're special. You'll get one every time you jump up in rank from Guardsman to Warlord. And yes, as Krasimirova said, post count doesn't equate knowledge. It only shows that they have a lot to say, not that it's useful. Reds

I haven't been seeing the little dots lately. They are only asterisks. Also on the home page instead of the cool skull symbols for each board, I only get this [ ] with an asterisk in the middle if there is an unread post.

SaN This happens to me, too, but I thought that it hangs together with the connection problems that happens quite often (especially when I click on the “20 most recent posts”-link). -Magg

As I recall, the disappearance of the background, pips, etc, is related to bandwidth somehow, but you'd have to ask Woz about the details.

It has to do with the phases of the moon.
Or, it's just that time of the month for the IGMB.
