Hello all, and welcome to my thread for the Wylowace 2nd Army. In this thread, I will post various things relating to this army. Progress, pictures and fluff will all be shown here. First up, a pronounciation guide + minor fluff. (Will-oh-wah-tshe) The name comes from the town of Wymysorys, a place in Poland, which is also a language there. Since its language is very akin to my own, I decided I might use the name. Wylowace 2nd ArmyThe second army formed on the planet of Wylowace (Yes, I know, different spelling, but I like this better). This army was initially the Planetary Defense Force of Wylowace but when the 1st Army was lost in action, they were pressed into service by the local governor. While nobody knows the true circumstances under which the 1st Army was lost, they have taken on legendary status amongst their peers. As a result, the 2nd Army tries to mimic them in many ways. They have started using the same battle drills and even are wearing the same uniform. While serving the Emperor to their fullest, the Wylowace 2nd Army leaves no chance unused in trying to find their vanished friends. Assembly blog:Conversions are happily underway. I'm trying to find as many different heads as I can. The idea is to try and make every single trooper unique. Heads wise, think like this:

Update! Three troopers have been created so far. Pictures will come today or tomorrow. They look pretty cool, if I do say so myself. If there's anybody that's got the IG HW backpacks spare, by the way, please contact me.

As I told Boba on msn, yes. But I usually toy with the minis at night, around 10pm. So yeah, I'm bound to miss a few mould lines. Maybe I'll hose it down or something.

Update! I am going to do a very unique take on HW Missile Launchers. I'll mock up something soon. Undercoating is going to happen this afternoon, perhaps.

Okay! Here's a few more troopers and one officer. Observe: This guy's a bugler, though his arm isn't exactly armoured. I only realised that after assembly with glue. Stupid me. Three angles of the same soldier. This is one man from the HW Missile Launcher teams that will be converted. Maybe you can already guess his purpose. Otherwise, keep tuned in. Some sort of officer, made with Mordheim Ulric follower's arms.

Thanks for all the kind comments. Oh, by the way, let me just say this: Dog lovers might not like my anti-tank squads.

Very nice, I'm really liking what I am seeing here. I also have a dog on an officer's base, I used fang from Farmer maggot.
I also really like the Mordheim and fanfazy pieces, I'm going to have to do something similar soon.
Well done.

you'd be surprised. It's not as bulky as it looks. All I changed were the tracks, to be doubled.

how'd you get the extra tracks?

Alright, it's quite easy, but takes some time and dedication. I made all of it with the standard parts with the Leman Russ Demolisher (Demolisher is cheaper than normal Russ but has more options? Wtf?). First off, you pair up the wheels. Cut the round bottomy thingy off and put what remains on the other wheel. That way, you have space for two tracks, with a bit of trimming of the tracks. See below: For ease of assembly, I haven't used all of the wheels, just those placed on the corners. When I get home, I'll demonstrate it. Be aware though, I had to add a bit of extra plastic to make the tracks become level with the top of the side sheets. Hope this schematic approach helps.

Hi guys! It's been a while. I've not got pictures yet, but I did some work on the guy with the boonie hat and the tank. I have to base the boonie guy, and then he's done. The tank is proving to be a bit problematic, since I ran out of ideas, but I'll post here later so you can look at what I have so far.
