Tau- The static fiends of the Galaxy Apart from the fluff covering their whole bodies, they look good really 'rough and ready'. Daniel

This is a good example of the good thing about Tau - being as they actually alter their camo for different theatres, there's huge scope for how you can paint them - and it all seems good and quite fitting.
Is this the beginnings of a new Tau army Syphon, or just random painting fun?

I have a Crisis Suit ready to be painted up. But there's also some Empire guys in line to be painted. Read: a whole brigade.
Also, you touched upon the exact reason I went to collect WHFB and WH: mutability. I was originally going to collect LOTR (before WOTR) but I came to the realization that even if I painted the Rohirrim pink, they would simply be Rohirrim with pink cloaks.

...
This is basically the same scheme I use for my Tau...without the camo blotches, and my fatigue choice was grey.
But it looks pretty cool all together.

Thanks guys. I'm thinking of adding some Gue'Vesa (human helpers, for those less fluent in Tau) by arming guardsmen with whatever the Tau guns are again. Basically, guardsmen with all aguilas filed off, with a Pig Iron large visor helmet and, yeah, those guns.
