Yo dudes... i'm going to start to paint one of Gaunt's Ghosts, the Master Sniper Larkin, but I don't know how to paint his cloak to look really really good. Usually to paint cloaks, I paint them Dark Angels Green as a basecoat, and Snot Green as a second layer, with heavy brown ink around the bottom for the dirty-effect.
But this doesn't create an awesome cloak effect and since Larkin is one of my favourite models, I wondered if any of you guys could help me painting the cloak to look better, kind of like "camouflage".
thanks for any help

I had a similar problem myself. Your best of starting with a neutral green, nothing too strong! Catachan green maybe, and stick to neutral colours for the patterns, Codex grey and Graveyard earth did it for me.
Do not use to many colours, no more than 3, and remember neutral tones and colours!
