Stormies Idea(and a sniper)

So, I bought some Firewarriors, and then I had an idea. Well, several ideas. One of which was to make stormies.

This is the first one I made. Not all will have the Firewarrior helmet, some will just have a regular IG helmet head. I used the Tau torso, as it seemed more armoured than a normal IG one, along with the backpack that comes with the firewarriors. The cabling attached to the lasgun is from my DKoK grenadiers. (Most of my grenadiers are either just Vets, or regular guardsmen, so i didn't use a lot of the cabling.)







Any feedback, comments?

My other idea was to make snipers out of the kit using the pulse rifles. Just a normal guardsman, with a pulse rifle. (It was one of the pulse rifles without an arm attached, and a lasgun arm with the lasgun cut away.) It isn't the prettiest, but then again I just threw it together as a prototype. I may also make one with a firewarrior helmet.

Definitely heresy... but they are awesome

Either use them as carapace vets maybe, or as Human Auxilaries in a Tau army (give them pulse rifles and just count them as Tau infantry...)

Paint them and you will be less of a heretic

It looks like you made Gue'vsa[/i], or humans that have joined the Tau "for the greater good". I've seen some pretty sweet Tau/IG hybrid armies that use the best of both to create something new.
