Last week a friend an I sat down and tested out his thoughts on a BA list. Here are the lists, I am pulling his from memory so please forgive any gaps

Primaris Psyker in chimera with CCS
TROOPS
PCS - Pwr weapon, 4xplasmaguns, Chimera ML and hvy bolter
SQ 1 - Pwr weapon, Commissar w/pwr weapon, GL, Chimera ML and hvy bolter
SQ 2 - same as SQ1 minus the Commissar
Vet Sq 1 - shotgun, 3xmeltas, mounted in a Valkyrie
Vet Sq 2 - shotgun, 3xplasmaguns, mounted in a Chimera ML and hvy bolter
Fast Attack
Valkyrie - multilaser 2 mutiple rocket pods
Vendetta - 2 twinlinked lascannons
Vendetta - same as above
Hvy Support
Leman Russ - Battle cannon, hull hvy bolter
Leman Russ - Executioner Plasma cannon, hull hvy bolter, sponson plasma cannons
His list as close as I can remember. I know he brought a ton of meltas and multimeltas cause he figured I'd be bringing armor
Librarian
2 Captains
2 10 man Squads with meltas (may have had multimeltas)
2 attack bikes with multimeltas
2 land speeders with multimeltas
2 Dreadnaughts (1 Furioso with the special claws, and 1 Librarian)
2 Stormraven Flying toasters - each with a 10 man squad, captain and one of the dreads. The librarian was in one of them.
1 5 man squad of Devestators all with Lascannons
We set up terrain with lots of ruined bulidings and rolled a Annihilation, Pitched Battle.
Here is the battle field

He won the roll off and elected to go first. Here is his set up. Notice the flying toaster icons representing his Stormravens.

I put everything in reserve and outflanked my Valk and 2 'dettas.
Turn 1 BA
With nothing on the board to shoot at he moved everything except the devestators forward 24".
Turn 1 IG
Nothing
Turn 2 BA
Still with nothing to go after he moved back to his original starting position. I could tell that my reserving everything had him very concerned.

Turn 2 IG
I rolled on my CCS, the Executioner, and all three flyers who came in on the same side of the board right next to his left 'raven.
I disembarked the meltavet sq within range of the 'raven but strung out the sq with the meltas close and the rest as far away from the 'raven as possible. (This proved a very smart thing in his next turn.) I brought on the CCS and tried to run the Chimera into the center building on my side (I figued in a Kill Point game I needed to concentrate my forces in the best cover possible). Unfortunately I failed my terrain test and immobilized my 2xhvy flamer Chimera. I then brought the Executioner on my right flank to try and target the devestator sq on his left.
Shooting started out great for me with my three meltavets scoring an unsaved Immobilzed hit on the 'raven. This resulted in a wrecked result since he moved flat out in his turn. The Valk targeted the Sq with Librarian and Captian that spilled out of the wrecked 'raven killing one. 'detta 1 targeted the bikes and did one wound, while 'detta 2 took the melta off the Furioso Dred. The CCS ran into the building and the Executioner was out of range. (I should have brought it in closer to my firebase building)

BA Turn 3
Upset over the loss of his 'Raven, my opponent decided to blast the crap out of my meltavet squad. He moved the Librarian, Furioso Dred and squad into position and blazed away killing 7 (which I removed from the front). The bikes moved to blast 'detta 2 with close range melta power and only stunned it, the other 'raven turned to hit 'detta 1 with linked lascannons and missed while the devestators hit the Executioner and immobilized it. My vets passed their morale check but they were too far away for him to assault since I had removed casualties from the front.
IGBA5 by Doug Crabb, on Flickr
IG Turn 3
This turn I got my vanilla Russ and Vet squad in chimera. I brought them on to bolster my firebase. The vets dismounted into the building. I loaded the remains of the meltavet sq back into the Valk and moved away 10" to keep my opponent from getting a kill point for them. 'detta 1 moved a bit and lined up a shot on the bikes hitting and wounding three times killing them.
The Russ performed brilliantly, scoring a direct hit on the Librarian's Sq killing 7 marines. The Valk chimed in and killed one more. The remaining Sgt rolled an 11 for morale and fled dragging the Librarian and Captain with him.
IGBA6 by Doug Crabb, on Flickr
BA Turn 4
The combination of my excellent shooting and his bad dice rolls had really shaken my opponent but he fought on valiantly. His fleeing squad could not rally with my 'detta within 6" but he did not run off the board. Someone had a combimelta and tried to destroy detta 2 so they could rally next turn but all he could do was stun it again. The remaining 'raven moved closer to my firebase but in the cover of buildings while the landspeeders moved flat out to get on the other side of the board to try and use their multimeltas. His devestators hit the vets chimera and took off the turret multilaser. The Furioso Dred moved into cover toward my valk hoping to get a crack at the vet sq it carried.
IGBA7 by Doug Crabb, on Flickr
IG Turn 4
I finally got my Platoon from reserves and brought them in on the safe side of my firebase building. Figureing he was bringing the other 'raven loaded squad into range soon I disembarked the plasma toting PCS and took up firing positions. The Valk deposited the vets into the safety of a building and missed with everything it shot at the landspeeders. 'detta 1 blasted the back armor of the Dred with three lascannons causing it to explode with a major detonation that splattered the 'detta with bits of smoking Dred.
I moved the vanilla Russ into position to blast the devestators. I rolled another hit but he made all his cover saves. The Executioner hit his 'raven but again he made his cover save. Finally, I targeted the speeders with my Primaris Psyker but his lighting bolts petered out when he failed his leadership test.
IGBA8 by Doug Crabb, on Flickr
BA Turn 5
With my detta within 6" of his fleeing Sq and Librarian he could not regroup and he ran off the board. His landspeeders moved forward to hit my Valk but they could not get within half range. One missed and the other could not damage my flyer. The 'raven moved forward and deployed the Librarian Dred. The 'raven wrecked the CCS Chimera with a linked lascannon shot and the Dred fired a Bloodlance? that wrecked the vet's chimera but could not damage the Russ behind it. His devetators tried to hit my Executioner but I made my cover saves.
IGBA9 by Doug Crabb, on Flickr
IG Turn 5
In my turn I targetted his speeders with all my flyers but only managed to stun them both. My Russ scored a hit on his 'raven knocking off his twinlinked lascannons. I also moved up my infantry sq chimeras to take a shot at the speeders next turn if needed. I also moved my squads in the building back incase he tried to assault next turn.
IGBA10 by Doug Crabb, on Flickr
The die roll brought the game to an end here but we had time so we continued for one more turn.
BA Turn 6
With his speeders stunned he moved his 'raven forward and deployed his squad and captain hoping to assault. The Dred also moved forward and lanced the Russ but I passed my cover save as did the Executioner which was hit by the devestators again. In the assault phase he rolled a three for terrain and failed needing a four! This left his squad in the open waiting to get pummelled in my shooting phase.
IGBA11 by Doug Crabb, on Flickr
IG Turn 6
With his speeders and Marine squad all sitting out in the open I blazed away with everything I could. The Valk and 'dettas blew up the speeders while I moved my CCS flamers into template range. They scored 27 hits which led to 17 wounds which led to zero kills because he made every single one of his armor and feel no pain rolls. Undaunted I hit him with multiple plasma cannon hits from the Executioner (finally in range). I also nailed him with 7 plasmagun hits from my PCS and 5 more from the plasma vet squad. I also tried using the Psykers lightning attack but he once again failed his leadership test. When it was all over the only BA left standing was the Captain.
IGBA12 by Doug Crabb, on Flickr
Here is what the board looked like at the end of the game. Final result IG 6 BA 0.

Lessons Learned
1. Keep your firebase forces concentrated. My Executioner was out of position from the beginning.
2. The Executioners limited range of 36" can cause problems that may outweigh the costs of the tank. I am thinking of swapping it out for a regular Russ and a Hydra or maybe a Manticore and a Hydra.
3. Cover saves are really, really awesome.
4. Big bad scary Stormravens aren't as tough as I thought they would be.
