It's just plain Sand paint from Tamiya, which I prefer for the vehicles since I've been thinning it for my airbrush for years so I've got it down to an art. I am planning on both an inking for the recesses as well as a drybrushing for the raised details on both the Sand and Dark Green areas along with some other general weathering all around. I'm not sure how well it'll go since I'm normally used to building aircraft (I just noticed you can see the box for Su-25 I've got going in the background) so properly building up a tank is a new adventure for me.

Looks like a pretty stunning start - nice camo markings, neat paintwork, and overall quite promising. Given the groovy style of the camo, I'm really interested to see how your troops will look... I knew there'd be a good reason to keep you protected in a certain other thread

Well, speaking of infantry, this was one of my first trial runs at camo desert troopers. I wanted to go for desert since there's an over-population of urban and forest camo armies around my area I figured desert could be a fun break from grey and green themes. I'm not sure I'm happy with it, but it's the best I've come up with so far.

I think it looks really good - very nicely detailed camo patterning. My only question is whether you'll find it hard to keep motivated painting that level of camo detailing on all the infantry? If you do, it'll look awesome

It does all look really nice, and the camo is really neat. Keep up the good work.

If you do, it'll look awesome So far it hasn't been a pain, but then again I haven't decided on the regiment's look yet so it's just been the one guy. Regardless I'm pretty sure I won't be going with camo for every single trooper on the first run, they'll probably end up with brown and grey and then when they're all painted up that way I'll go back and add the camo on later.

Thats awesome.. so much better than I can paint!! Keep it up and you'll have an amazing looking army.. and don't ever be to hard on yourself about tiny little errors, as once there's a load of models on the table and the bullets get flying no one will be looking to closely! (and you can probably paint a whole other model in the time it takes to correct it - as I learnt from trying to write words and do eyes!)

Looking really good! The trooper is especially nice. Some shading, highlighting, and weathering on the Chimera, and it'll be a good finished piece if it's to the standard of the trooper.
