hi, i was around the internet randomly when i found this... i was wondering what you guys thought of this: using it as a type of light infantry support vehicle with; armour 12,12,11 and an assault cannon main weapon with a secondary heavy bolter. my friend who i usually play with has agreed to me using it, so my only concerns are what should it cost me in points, and the scale... its 25mm. does 3mm make that much of a difference? thanks ;D

I have many Old Crow vehicles and use them in other sci-fi gaming, Jez casts the BEST stuff out there in my experience with about a dozen resin gaming vendors.
40k is "heroic" 28mm (meaning oversized), Jez's stuff is an accurate 25mm, so yes, it will be noticeably smaller. That said, who *really* cares? Can you cram 5 Ogryn into an actual Chimera model, or 10 Space Marines into a Rhino? Every model/figure/vehicle in the game is "representative."
So long as your opponent is good, go for it.

If you do have any issues with opponents not liking your "home made rules" for it, I think you could easily get away with using it as a proxy for a chimera anyway.

In my opinion you should change the armor stats to 12/11/10 and make it 75pts. With such and angular front facing (which is good at taking abuse) it doesn't make sense for the more flat side plating to be the same value. And if a standard Russ still has Rear 10 I don't imagine a light APC will offer better protection. Anyway, just my thoughts.
Also, you could consider bumping it up to 80-85pts and making it FAST. Not fast attack, just fast. That would lend a different aspect to a mech guard list and would account for wheels instead of treads. Or you could do that and keep it at 60pts and remove the fire points that a chimera gets.
In summary: 12/11/10, No fire Points, Fast, 60pts.

It does look like there is one circular hatch on the roof just forward of the turret. That could potentially offer a single fire port.

If your opponents are agreeable you could give the car a transport capacity of 6 models and make it a dedicated transport for SW squads. It would certainly be entertaining to work out tactics and counter-tactics for something like that.
