I know this might be a bit odd to bring up, but I think I found the perfect material for making purity seals and the like.
If anyone uses those Color Catcher sheets with their laundry (I think Shout makes them), I think the ones that come out with little color to them make great material for purity seals, scrolls, anything needed for conversions involving "paper". The material is extremely durable; more so than regular paper and is easy to work with.
I find the best results come when you run them in with the wash and then throw them in with a load in the dryer. The Color Catcher sheets get a nice weathered look to them. Of course, if they come out relatively uncolored, it'll make your job a bit easier.
Just thought I could share. Any thoughts?

how about throwing a picture up of these so that we can see what you got. Sounds like an interesting way to go.

Yeah; sorry about that. As soon as I realized I should've posted some pics of this stuff, we ran out of the Color Catcher sheets...ironic.
I'm on my way to the store tomorrow to pick some up

I've finally got some pics to explain All right; here's the stuff I've been talking about: This stuff can really step in well for purity seals and the like. Like I said before; after throwing them into the wash and dryer, they should come out like this: I think they'd have the perfect texture for things like purity seals, old posters, possibly banners too. You can mark 'em up easily with sharpies. I hope this might help somebody!
