Thanks for all the coments, I really appreciate it.
I do plan on eventually selling the individual pieces as conversion kits, even if just to recover some material cost. There is still a lot to do before I get to this stage though. For now I have purchased a slower resin and RTV silicone rubber to replace the putty I was using before, and as a result the detail quality improved.
I'm currently working on a new head for sergeants and more veterans, so I will need to design a new backpack and a shotgun as well.
As for the beret, I made it from procreate, hence the gray colour. I might make a separate cast for it, the same way as I have done for the helmet, but they are really easy to do.
The other thing is that I need to figure out a good colour scheme. I want my regiment to be in the middle of a campaign on a Mars type red planet/hiveworld. To keep with a retro army style I think solid colours for uniforms and trenchcoats. I would use modern style camuflage on veteran (and sniper) capes only, as they look that way anyway. If you have any suggestions please share, as I have no colour imagination unfortunately.

I know how much effort Outrider has put into this project as he is a member of our gaming circle and, unfortunately for me, a specialist in 40k butt kicking.
Keep up the good work dude. Remember, when ur ready to start painting u should come to mine and we will work on some advanced painting techniques to really do these fantastic mins youve made the justice they deserve.
