As some of you may know, I've been working on putting together a good 1000-point take-all-comers Dark Eldar list, especially since my metagame is primarily aggressive gunline Guard, infantry-heavy Tau and Dreadhead Space Marines. I think I may have done it, although it will obviously require more work and tweaking here and there.
HQ: Lady Malys - 130
Troops: Wyches - 155
Wych w/ Hydra Gauntlets
7x Wyches
Raider w/ Chainsnares
Troops: Kabalite Warriors - 150
Sybarite w/ Blast Pistol
Warrior w/ Blaster
3x Warriors
Venom w/ 2x Splinter Cannons

Heavy Support: Ravager w/ Flickerfield- 115
Total: 1000
With a total of 8 Splinter Cannons and11 12 darklights of one variety or another, dealing with infantry and armor shouldn't be too much of a problem, this list is fast enough to effectively re-deploy in a single turn and has a reasonably strong assault element (Malys and the Wyches). Malys protects the Wyches from psychic attacks (much to my relief in a game today using a completely different list, as my local Guard player sprung a Primaris on me) and helps mitigate the problem of occasionally deploying first (and also allowing me to switch to a more offensive role if I happen to seize the initiative). The Ravager, Raider and the Warrior squads focus on slagging armor and TEQ/MEQs, while the Venoms spray non-vehicle units with mass Splinter Cannon fire and shelter the Warriors when they need to go objective camping.
In Dawn of War, I'll deploy Malys, the Wyches and their Raider on the table, hopefully far away enough that the enemy will not be able to see them, then go for a turn 1 assault. Next turn, everyone else comes in on my table edge from Reserve and goes for their intended targets (it worked like a charm against Tau in a DoW Seize Ground mission, where I had all three objectives and tabled the opposition by turn 6 (I would have tabled him sooner, but that damn Sky Ray simply refused to die)).
As for other games, I'll probably end up keeping a few choice units (like my Ravager) in reserve if I have to go second. If I have the first turn, however, I'll probably rush him with everything I've got.
As for expanding this list, I'll probably end up taking a pack or two of Reavers, another Ravager and maybe a full Raider squad for objective-taking at 1500-points.
What do you guys think?
