More than color scheme?

Hello everyone. I've been thinking of making an IG army with a medieval theme. I'm going to use Cadians with a sprinkling of brettonian conversions here and there. So i've been thinking about having each platoon have it's own color scheme but I don't know if it will look nice. Do you guys think I should give it a try? Each platoon officer will have some knightly bits and his own heraldry. I've only painted one squad so far in enchanted blue flak armor and skull white fatigues.Thanks in advance for the replies.

It's a cool idea, but if you're going to paint each squad differently, don't paint them in very different colors.

like one squad red and blue and one in yellow and black.
to much varation will only make your army look messy.
