Flavius von Löthenberg is a resourceful individual of noble birth, whose skill and determination have led to the position of Rough Rider sergeant amongst the Imperial ranks.
Von Löthenberg's caracteristic bike was gifted to him by a space marine scout when the latter, fatally injured, demanded that von Lothenberg end his suffering. Eventually, Löthenberg survived the battle and replaced his steed with the bike. From that day on, he has led the Rough Rider charge with his engines blazing, the windshield protecting him from what he likes to call "Nid guts".
He is infamous for his golden Hell's Teeth power-chainsword : this rare pattern is a much prized possession of von Löthenberg, having been a family heirloom, passed on from one generation to the other. Its adamantium teeth are able to tear through armour as if it were mere flesh, and the sergeant's life has often depended on the swift slices of the weapon.
The sergeant has always had a passion fo explosives : his demo-charge has often cleared up the situation for his squad, even wiping out a whole chaos terminator squad once, and anything short of a land-raider is a potential prey to his accurately placed melta-bombs. He cherishes nothing more than roaring away on his bike without turning back and then hearing the explosion far behind.

Hell's Teeth Chainsword

-Scout-Bike :
Von Löthenberg is considered a Cavalry unit, but the scout-bike grants him a toughness value of 4 (included in the above profile) and an armour save of 4+ reflecting the chance of bullets boucing off the bike's armour plates. Moreover, the bike's speed grants von Löthenberg +D3 attacks on the turn he charges insted of +1.

Entry B
The Commissar swung his chainsword with might, passing inches from Ka’shan’s helmet. The bodies of the Commissar’s bodyguards and Ka’shan’s Fire Warrior team lay around the two. The Commissar’s bionics in his eye and right arm gave him the strength to continue long after his protectors had been cut down. Ka’shan had fought his share of Imperial Commissars over the course of the campaign to assimilate the Hyshal subsector into the Empire, but this one was proving unusually challenging.
The Commissar rebounded from his missed strike at the face to a sweep at the Tau’s legs. An agile jump avoided the growling chainsword and a quick counter-thrust narrowly missed the Commissar’s knee. Ka’shan was getting irritated. He had killed dozens of these worthless opponents, yet this one refused to take a blow from Ka’shan’s sword and end what was a one-sided battle from the start. Ka’shan thought quickly and decided the bionics were the key. Side-stepping an ill-timed swing by the Commissar, a jab from the point of the Tau’s sword shattered the bionic eye, the Commissar’s socket left sparking, a cry of pain and smell of burnt flesh filling the bunker. Blind on one side and with no more tactical readouts being provided to him, the Commissar was now an easy target. Charging the blind side of the Commissar, Ka’shan slashed the bionic arm at the point where it met the shoulder, cleanly dismembering and finally disarming the Imperial. With his strength gone he fell to the ground, the Tau approached him with sword in hand. With a movement he was all too familiar with, Ka'shan placed his blade in between one of the the joins of the carapace armour.
“The Ethereals wish you gone from here.”
With effort, he pushed downwards on the blade, the crack of the armour signalling another Imperial having fallen to the sword of a Blade Master.

The truck rocked as it slid around the dirt track, bald tires squealing as they fought for grip on the loose surface. The ravine that ran alongside the mountain path was deep, and the wreckage of previous vehicles littered within spoke volumes of its treachery. The men’s packs, hanging from the rusted roof of the passenger compartment, clattered violently as they swung into each other. The men that filled the makeshift transport, however, were unusually silent, save for one. The rest awkwardly stared into space, none watching as their lieutenant cradled the company captain slowly bleeding out at their feet.
The wounded man’s eyes rolled in his head, wide with fear and pain. His lips worked feverishly, the blood and flesh of his ragged throat transmuting his words into a long, strangled moan. It was a damn shame, really, thought Scratch as he lifted the hat from the dying man’s head. He’d really liked Jackdaw, but the man had always been careless. He flicked the gore from the brim of the cap, setting it on his own head. Riding in the cupola in one of these decrepit trucks was dangerous at the best of times, but with all the heretic snipers around, it was suicide. He shook his head, feeling the weight of the cap. Not a bad fit. Jackdaw stretched out his arm, grasping blindly at a shadow in the air in front of him. Gently, Scratch pushed his arm down again – his pain would be over soon. He slipped his friends arm out of the jacket, ignoring his scream with the movement.
It looked like the sniper’s bullet had passed right through his neck, taking a lot of his jaw with it. There was surprisingly little blood on his coat, or even on the inside of the vehicle; but in all the commotion of a moving convoy, who could really tell from which direction the shot had come? These bastard Calderian marksmen were well known for their aim, and every soldier in the carrier would later swear that they had seen the muzzle flare on a nearby clifftop. A damn shame. Scratch pulled the jacket over his own shoulders, savouring the warmth in the biting air. He ran his finger along the letters of the embroidered title, savouring the power they represented. Jackdaw was passing out, his eyelids flickering as he slipped into darkness. Scratch picked up his rifle from where it had fallen on the cold metal floor and slung it over his own back.
Satisfied with the transfer, the Warden placed his boot firmly on his old commander’s shoulder. With a final, sincere word of apology, he heaved him out of the back of the truck. The body spun once, disappearing under the wheels of the following truck before tumbling down the ravine. The truck did not slow down. The Warden sighed. Couldn’t be helped, he supposed. Death was the cost of carelessness among the Rats.

Captain of the Wasteland Rats: The Warden______________45pts
One penal legion squad in your army may replace its custodian with the Warden.
WS__BS__S__T__W__I__A__Ld__Sv
_3___4___3___3__2__3__2__9__5+
Unit type: Infantry (unique)
Wargear: Flak armour, heirloom bolter (re-roll failed ‘to wound’ rolls), close combat weapon
“We got a runner, boss”: The Warden is not above executing one of his own men at signs of cowardice. Should the penal legion squad led by the Warden fail a morale test, the Warden may carry out a Summary Execution – see the entry for commissars. Penal squads are not known for their loyalty, however, and should re-rolled morale check fail, the Warden is killed by his charges, who instantly flee the field. Remove the squad from play. The Warden always returns, however, though often with a new face.
Contraband: Penal squads serving under the Warden have an unusual propensity for ‘acquiring’ extra, unsanctioned equipment in the field. Two penal legionnaires in a penal legion squad led by the Warden can exchange their lasgun for a special weapon normally available to Infantry squads. They must pay the points cost as listed in the entry for Infantry squads.

Gunner Ferguson
The sabre gunship lurched. Lights were flashing and smoke was spilling out of the consoles. Fergunson pulled the handle on the escape hatch. Next thing he was free falling, watching as the gunship spiraled down in to the jungle. He pressed the activate buttons and his rockets flared up stoping him smashing in to the canopy and forest. He noticed a clearing and angled his decent to it. Upon landing he ditched the thrusters and emptied the survival pack, assembling his las-carbine. On his tactical view screen he noted the last location and started to trek threw to the river.
The river was a slow emerald snake, winding through the jungle. He rushed over and filled up his canteen and then emptied it over himself. Was good to get the dirt and smoke off and cool down, even if only for a short while. Then he head a creak and crack of wood on the other bank. He fadded back i nto the under growth and headed up river, hoping the Imperial Outpost wasn't over run...By the jungle, or the Dren.

Whilst assigned to the whiteshield corps, recruit trainee Thompson earned the nickname "Kasr' in the Cadian 83rd regiments unofficial boxing rings, he just couldn't be knocked out! By the time the 83rd were transfered to the Armageddon sector he had grown into a ferocious fighter.
Whilst on Armageddon 'Kasr' Thompson quickly moved through the ranks during operations in the equatorial jungles, earning much respect from the Catachan Ork hunters there, and was eventually posted as a sergeant of an armoured fist squad operating in the ash wastes of Armageddon prime. Thompson was viewed as something of a maverick by his senior officers, due in no small part for slinging his rifle to his squad mates, yelling "Hold ma gun"! and proceeding to charge into the thickest concentration of Orks he could find, and beat them to a pulp with his fists!
The 83rd were rotated back to Cadia in anticipation of Abbadons 13th 'Black Crusade' and it is said that Thompson finally met his match on those blood soaked fields, doubtless going toe to toe with the fell champions of Chaos. There are some however that claim 'Kasr' Thompson can't be killed, and is still somewhere on Cadia fighting for his birth world...
