Hello All,
It seems that an error occured where the text for my entry was lost so my entry was not included in the voting thread and I did not see my PM until it was too late.
So here is my entry for what it is worth...
Lt. Markus was originally an infantryman of the Verdun 297th Iron Dogs and came to be a sentinel pilot through the divine guidance of the Emperor. Durring a brutal campaign his platoon had been obliterated, leaving him injured and behind enemy lines. In the following days he came across a downed sentinel, the only damage being a single lucky shot that had killed the pilot. Piloting the damaged sentinel back to the front lines, he rejoined the fight to a chorus of cheers, saving the faltering line and inspiring the troops. Thinking like an infantryman, he has become known for providing extreme close support to the troops as though he were a great metal guardsman. Though unorthodox, it was deemed that as he has shown proficiency piloting the sentinel and the rather impressive morale boost to the troops his presence provides it has been deemed that he shall continue in that capacity.
Lt. Markus, unique sentinel pilot, Armored sentinel with heavy flamer, 80 points.
WS / BS / S / F/S/R / I / A
4 / 3 / 5 / 12/10/10 / 3 / 2
Special Rules:
Follow me boys!: Sentinel can be attached to an infantry squad. The squad gains the Fearless special rule and benifit from the cover save granted by the smoke launchers when they are used.
Inspiring Presence: Sentinel counts as a regimental standard in that any friendly units within 12" may reroll failed morale and pinning tests. Attached unit also counts as scoring one additional wound for close combat results.
WIP
Enjoy what could have been and let me know what you think.
