That is awesome... If you can't get the colour, you could always lighten the base with some skull White...

That is awesome... If you can't get the colour, you could always lighten the base with some skull White... I agree that it looks quite awesome, however I think the color you've got works well. It's an interesting contrast, sort of a "bird wing against the sky" effect. I will be interested to see this model when you've got it completely finished...

I will post it when its finished. but it takes some time.
I think I need another color to highlight the feathers ...
like.. yellow or red..

It depends what you want to happen, at the mment it looks a bit 'flat', as the blues you have chosen are simlar to your base colour. If you want them to stand out without being garish (which is what will happen if you go red/orange, due to them being contrasting colours) try using warm neutral colours (Khemri brown, denheb stone). That way they'll look cool and stand out without dominating your model.

Hi Jalapenerine, the Valk is looking great . The freehand does look a bit flat though, it looks like you've used a lot of light colours and highlights, but lacked on the shading and I think that's your problem. The feathers are clearly layered, but there's just not enough depth to them, how about trying some black or dark browns amongst the feathers to create some shadows. Looking forward to more Cosmic

dude, that paint job is pretty awesome. the design blows my mind. there is absolutely no way i'd be able to do that myself =/ makes me feel bad about my painting skill now...
when i get my valkyrie i plan on giving it the shark tooth paint scheme like on the WWII spitfire's. also something i most likely won't be able to do right now with my painting ability lol... guess i have a little time to work on it still.
