That's awesome. Do you have a conversion guide?

You actauly don't need a conversion guide. Just use a small drill and make shallow holes in the loaders knee and foot. Then cut a paper clip into 3mm or 4mm ( metre system ) long pins and glue them in the holes, pointing exactly downwards. After they have dried put a small dot of bright color on them and position the model where you want it. Now you should have two bright dots on your base that shows you where you are supposed to drill another two holes. And by now you should be done..

You can do it in under a minute... so it doesn't take much time.

I wish somebody would model a dead guardsman as a replacement. That'd be sweet. I don't use these bigger bases at all so this isn't an issue for me. H weapon and 1st crewman are on medium base and other crewman are on small bases. Do the more recent H weapons still allow you to fit things on medium bases? (Ie: latest autocannon plus gunner on medium base)

I used to have it like you. But then I read about tournament rules and apparently they state that models are not allowed to have smaller bases than they come with. But may have bigger ones... So I came up with this solution...

I call shenanigans. It's dumb that they should punish us for our creativity.

I agree... If I could ave it my way I would use smaller bases, but think of it like this. The heavy bolter for example is a quite large weapon and need some space around it for the crew to operate it efficiently since they are no SM who just can toss it around like a rag doll.

That's a good way of looking at it.

I think they have this rule (nobody may use smaller bases then they come with) helps against the people who are playing only for winning. I don't think they are trying to kep us from our creativity away. None the less If I would play against a oponent with smaller bases ont their HW teams I wouldn't mid it that much.
Only one thing has came to my mind, They sell steel legion trooper with misille launchers on normal bases right? Is it allowed to take normal bases with misille launchers? Cause that'll be realistic too. you shoot it from your shoulder right?

I sure hope so, cause all my missile launchers are on small bases.. I don't mind what bases my opponent has his heavy weapons either.. I Had them on cavalry-bases until recently, but a everyone can see I changed my mind...

I agree missile launchers are appropriate for a small base, after all they are supposed to be man-portable.
