So I was peaking around on an online store and found these lovely models I could use as carapace armoured guardsmen. I planned on using these bodies. And these heads Convert the arms to hold lasguns or use scout marine shotguns and I have my self a Grenadier vet squad. What do you think. Quick question: Has anyone actually tried this or bought the models. Are they the right scale and are they metal or plastic figures.

They would look great for carapace armoured veterans and the Cadian arms or Scout shotgun arms would work equally as well. These figures are by Pig Iron Productions and are cast pewter. THey make a good quality product so I do not think you will be dissapointed. The scale is right on.

Not to my taste, perhaps that's because I missed the whole Halo thing, which is what this armour reminds me of.
I'll say this though; they would look pretty good as human auxiliaries in a Tau army.

Lol I smell halo. Love the idea if you pull it off nicely. Always awesome to have a unique looking army.

Ahhhh Halo, you out armour the marysmurfsalot. But they would look good as carapace vets from a space hulk boarding, stormtroopers from a far away planet (crusades throw so many great armoured regiments togethor) or as cheap Skitarii.

The carapace body looks very cool, but IMO the head is too enclosed. They would make nice tech guard though.

Are those the system troopers from pig iron? If so those heads should come in a pack of 20, are very good value for money but are just slightly to big for guardsmen.

empirespy, are you talking about the Pig Iron heads in general or the system trooper ones? Because I didn't think they are too big, and I bought a large 81 heads pack.

i think the militia heads fit really well but ive heared from other people that the system heads are a little largen for cadians, but never seen the first hand result so i'm a neutral.

The Kolony Militia helmet, fur and bare heads work just fine, as do the Ghouls. The more hi-tech visor helmets are a bit big and frankly, kind of ugly for Cadians.

I'm actually working on a halo army at the moment. For regular marines, I used elysian bodies and re-sculpted cadian heads. Used the bodies you're talking about for ODST's (storm troopers). It's coming together well but I'm having trouble with vehicles.
