I have just got some cool new minis, and I have decide on some fluff for them, but I have yet to choose a colour scheme.
Basically the fluff is this;
A mechanicus world, Leryus, is asked to raise a regiment to help with a crusade, the mechanicus aren't used to this but decide they should make the best regiment ever, because they can. So they set about conscripting men and producing the best weapons they can along with advanced moulded body armour. They then go the next step up, completely wiping the minds of the soldiers and replacing it with only what they need to know, meaning that the bog standard trooper is devoid of emotions, and has initiative what so ever, only knowing how to fight with extreme precision. There is an officer class which have independent thought, as well as being completely level headed and focused only on taking the objective given with maximum efficiency.
Just as they are about to be shipped off, an Ork Waaaaaaargh! enters the system tying up the regiments. In an unfortunate attack the officer class is killed whilst returning to the planet. this leaves the men unable to do anything as they need orders to be able to function. After several months off fighting involving a Space Marine chapter and numerous Imperial guard regiments the Orks were scattered and the clean up work began. The Leryus regiment was found hidden in their underground barracks, and after much confusion it was discovered why they had not fought in the war, they were incompetent. The imperial commander sentenced the regiment to be executed as they were of no use to the Imperium. Luckily a commander of the Death Corps of Kreig, who's regiment was almost none existent any more stepped up and took command of the Leryians and they are now fighting in the sabbat worlds.
That's the fluff now can anybody help on what sort of colour scheme I should do them in?
