I'm sure if you fired enough lasguns at it, it would crack

Of course if the GE has access to all its superweapons then that'll be interesting. The Galaxy gun can fire planet busting weapons from anywhere in the galaxy. Also the sun crusher is impervious to all damage and can send stars into supernova, even dropping into the Core of a Gas Giant just ruined the paint work. Is it impervious to space marine strike teams? Yeah i don't think it is. Well it's starfighter sized.

If 10 marines fit in a rhino ,then they have a chance! Yeah, maybe two of them could fit inside, even with a shoehorn.
But yeah, Empire has quantum armor. The only thing the Imperium can do about that is warp rifts like vortex grenade style stuff.

Or, we (IoM) could lure the Empire forces into the path of a splinter fleet if 'Nids ;D

Say the IoM launched a boarding action, and managed to capture a standard GE Star Destroyer relatively intact. From the action, they have lots of shot-up Storm Trooper armor, and access to their blaster guns, along with the droids and vehicles. (Let's say this particular one was on it's way to supply land forces). What do you think the IoM would do? They would burn all of the heretic tech, it is an affront to the Omnissiah.

Or whether chopsticks or sporks were heretical. My guess is several thousand years of constant research.

An inch on the directional dice in any direction and they'll scatter into space, bullseye and they're fused to the hull.

Get him involved, and every Ultramarine will have his own clutch of vortex grenades.

An inch on the directional dice in any direction and they'll scatter into space, bullseye and they're fused to the hull. So somehow a superweapon is the size of a fighter craft and it's impervious to all weaponry? Yeah we'll go with vortex grenades here or psyker powers. The idea of a marine teleporting right next to the pilot and awkwardly close to him is kind of funny though.

*Teleports. A long, awkward silence ensues.*
"So-" "Yeah. You're in my pants."
"...sorry..."

Let's put it this way, a 16 year old boy, a middle aged man and a wookie can barely fit in it. Most of thr 13.5 metre length is made up of the weapon itself and propulsion system.

I think everyone is forgetting something, we have Creed! He could sneak a whole fleet behind the GE lines and not get caught!

Get the Star Wars encyclopedia book--blasters are quite clearly defined as plasma weapons in it. I've got the book somewhere, but unfortunately it's packed away in a box. Not having the book to cite, though, I provide the following evidence: In "A New Hope" when Han, Luke, Leia, and Chewie are in the trash compactor on the Death Star, Luke and Leia try to stop Han from blasting the hatch because the compactor is "magnetically sealed" which causes the blaster shot to ricochet wildly. (Y'all remember the scene...) A laser would not do this, but plasma is affected by magnetic fields (it's how they confine in in today's attempts at making a fusion reactor), so that implies that blasters are plasma based...

Also: the Wookiepedia entry on plasma -

Yes. But he said he was sorry, so everyone forgave him for murdering a star system full of people.

Yes. But he said he was sorry, so everyone forgave him for murdering a star system full of people. Reason #212 why the Expanded Universe is not so great. P.S. I will not get involved in fanboy debates. Not after the last one I was in saw three people get semi-banned from GitP.

Yes it would make sense, but remember not all plasma weapons are AP1 or 2, Pulse weapons are AP5 so then we could have armour saves. With this fight are we assuming that the Imperium is not besieged by aliens and heretics, Daemons and the like? If so the Imperium would win, end of.

But he said he was sorry, so everyone forgave him for murdering a star system full of people. Reason #212 why the Expanded Universe is not so great. P.S. I will not get involved in fanboy debates. Not after the last one I was in saw three people get semi-banned from GitP. Yes I would like this debate to stay civil with points being placed and supported or destroyed with evidence. .................................................................................................... Now the Imperium clearly has the upper hand on the star wars empire on the ground with all our super heavys, abundance of psykers, powerful super soldiers, millions of armoured vehicles and billions of infantry. With many 40k Imperial worlds having PDF forces numbering in the millions and possibly having exotic equipment city void shielding, orbital defense bunkers. Etc. I see the battles being decided in space. Now the Empire clearly has the upperhand on logistics and movability. But the Imperial Navy Cobra destroyer is the same size as a Imperial Star Destroyer.

And they also said Hun solo also said he finished the "Castle?" run in under 12 Parsecs, which is actually a measurement of distance not time. Kessel run. Solo was not talking about how fast he could do it, but the short cut he used. It was quite a risky run, cutting close to some black holes, so it displayed his navigational skill.

Yes it would make sense, but remember not all plasma weapons are AP1 or 2, Pulse weapons are AP5 so then we could have armour saves.
