After seeing carpandean's drop tanks I decided to do some of my own to use as sentinels. The guns aren't fixed so I can change them. This is one next to a LR.

Very nice! Glad I could inspire. The hulls look similar to the layout of the mini tank on GW's website, but a little bit longer (front to rear). They also seem to be completely scratch built except for the small deatails. Where did you get all of the treads? BTW (edit: oops, I mean "by the way" ), very well painted LR in that last pic.

Thanks
Yep it's mainly plasticard with a few GW bits. The tracks are from my bits box. Whenever I put track guards on a tank I don't put the tracks on underneath (and I've made a lot of tanks.)

Pretty smart. None of my tanks have tread guards, but since I shorten/chop the tread sections on all of my tanks, I have some leftovers. Unfortunately, most of them are the really long ones (8 links?).
Nice use of extra round bases, too, for the hatches. All-in-all, three of the coolest and cheapest sentinels you will find.

Have to go one better don't you Woz! LOL
They look very cool well done. I also use bases for hatches on my home-made tanks. Keep up the good work.

Those are very well done, Woz. They look like they would be cramped to ride in!

Those are very well done, Woz. They look like they would be cramped to ride in! There's only one guy in it and it's nearly as big as a Leman Russ which has a crew of 5 - 7. I'd made plans on how much room I'll need inside for the driver, engine etc which is why it ended up so big.

Yeah, looks about as cramped as my #1 (Chimera-based) Drop Tank. Since they're "counts as a sentinel" tanks, a crew of one seems appropriate. We each have three now, though I am quite certain mine cost a lot more Sad thing is that the hulls on my #2 (Russ-based) Drop Tanks are mostly plasticard between the tread sections. Maybe I'll scratch build some tread sections to put around the parts that I didn't use to make something new. Hey, you may have inspired me right back. ;D
