Ogryn Conversion WIP

Hey everyone, it's been a long times since I posted. I started collecting IG when my brother got into 40k, but I never got verry far in my army. Since then my interest has waxed and wained occasionally, but recently I've dived back in headfirst.
As for this thread, I've always though ogryns would be fun to use, but the price per model made pass on them. however, the possibility of converting fantasy ogres was intriguing enough that I picked up a box of them yesterday. I'm new to sculpting and this is still very much a WIP, so constructive advice would be appreciated. Now on to pics Sorry about the blurriness




Also, I was messing around with ripper gun conversion ideas and came up with this. Thoughts?

Thanks. And yes, I'm using the sword wielders. I've made a bit more progress today and I'm starting to paint. Again, sorry for the blurry pics...

And heres another one on its way. I trimmed up his beard, removing the skulls, and turned the metal plate on his head into a bionic eye. I also sculpted some armor for him

My brother being in town and working on his armies finally motivated me to get some more work done on my IG. I finally finished up my 2nd ogryn's hands and based him as well as basing quite a few guardsmen, working on a couple more psykers and touching up some odds and ends of unfinished painting.

im so doing this... this is a great idea... also much cheaper to buy the plasic ogres than the really expensive ogryns...

my only critism is the ripper guns are very front heavy... maybe some more gun or stock behind the hand to create a more realistic looking weapon... apart from that... consider this idea... NICKED.

Thanks! Actually, the stock is a really good idea. I may have to give it a try. I'm going to be really busy in the next few weeks, so I won't be making much in the way of 40k progress any time soon. I did cut out my other four ogres and plan out what I'm doing with each. My goal is to have each one be unique, which I've started by giving no two exactly the same head. I've been working on little bits and pieces of my army in my free time, and hopefully I'll get some more done after finals.
