I realise that this isnt from the IG codex, but I want to do imperial guard in power armour with hellguns, from the grey knight codex. Ive previously made sume super sweet prototypes with chaos warriors fc08.deviantart.com/fs29/f/2008/156/a/0/Panzerbjorn_by_Cubbie7.jpgBut in truth they dont feel right for what im looking for.... dont know what that is rightfully... but I was hoping you guys might be able to show me something crazy. |

I made one from a plastic marine, with a catachan jungle fighter head and a lasgun. Sorry I've got no pics of it.
To make him look less like a marine just chop his backpack down with an X-acto/ Stanley knife, then drill a small hole in the backpack and in the lasgun and link a bit of stripped down electrical cable/ guitar wire between the two.
Hey presto! An Inquisitorial Henchman with power armour and a hellgun - one of the most expensive troops in the game.

The examples from the Deviant art actually look like they'd fit in with Coteaz quite nicely, though, because he has the ruffled cloak thing going on as well...

They're Warriors of Chaos (from WFB) with Catachan heads and lasguns... simple conversion really, but actually looks pretty groovy.
Probably more accurate to call it carapace armour rather than power armour though.

I use these guys (Marine body with marine weapons and cadian head) for bodyguards.

The chaos warrior prototypes look good, but IMO the Cadian head is lost in the model. I also think the gun needs to be bulkier; try combining a bolter and a lasgun, (I find the top of a lasgun with the bottom of a bolter works quite well).

I actually quite like the one with the Cadian head, which is saying a lot because one of my biggest gripes about the plastic Cadians are their helmets. However, on that model it clicks really well, IMO... The Catachan headed one looks majorly badass though.  |

I agree that the Cadian heads suit the model, but because of the way the heads are made, they will always look like they are struggling to see, unless yo raise it with green stuff.
