Why would Forge World not make Death Korps snipers? They're based on WWI trench warfare soldiers. Snipers O' Plenty during WWI.
My question is I would really like to add some snipers at some point in time. Im going with an urban warfare type theme for my boys and what kind of urban combat zone would it be without some snipers?
I like the Vostroyan snipers but only if they have the masks on (trying to keep the respirator theme consistent with my army) but I am afraid they are too glitsy for Death Korps.
Any ideas or suggestions would be very appreciated.
Thank you all ahead of time!

What about using metal rods to extent the lasgun barrel lenght? If you dont want to cut up FW lasguns you could pratice on plastic ones first.

I think the Elysian Sniper Rifles would be the best bet. As they are FW, they are the same scale to do conversions with. I am not sure if they will be a bit cut down as sniper rifles, as Elysian stuff tends to be though. Their weapon pack only comes with 2 sniper rifles though, and it'll set you back about 13 quid. (Though it comes with 2 of every special weapon, 2 laspistols, and6 lasguns in addition to the rifles.) But, do you have Grenadiers? I just whipped this up special for you. I took half of a binoc from an officer kit I think, and replaced the scope that was on the hellgun. Then I cut off the muzzle from the Hellgun, and replaced it with a lasgun muzzle. It makes it a slightly longer barrel. I suppose you could also add some barrel length by adding part of another hellgun on there, be I didn't want to make it too long, and I don't have any extra Hellguns anymore. Btw, sorry for the lasgun tip in the pic. I haven't grind down the casting mark on it. I also just realized that it is kinda put on at a rotation. >.> You could also replace the wiring on the Hellgun with a lasgun clip as well. So, what do you think?

Thank you all for your quick replies! richie- I did think about the elysian sniper rifles, just havent decided if i liked their shorter weapons, Im trying to keep them looking WWI WWII like (as Im sure most people do with Krieg) it just fits them so perfectly. Im envisioning a longer rifle, with him kneeling behind a rockrete or charred brick wall taking aim, may be quite a hefty conversion but what im thinking in my head will be worth the work lol. 3ff3ct- I have looked at the pig iron stuff, I do like their Militia heads @orren- I do like that, but sadly I do not have any Grenadiers quite yet. Thats my next addition! aethyr- I love that gun conversion, it's almost exactly what im looking at doing.

The more I look at this Grenadier the more Im starting to like him. I may just buy the two pack of them and convert both to sniper's. My next question is, I want them to be sort of independent character's and not a part of a squad. taking aim from the heights of a building or something to pin the enemy advance so I can get my troops in place. basically like how catachan sniper's worked I believe back in third edition. Are those rules still usable? or is there any way i can have sniper's not attached to squads?
