Some of you may have seen that I'm now doing an Ork Army based around the Orks from DoW II... And now my problem is this, I want to make an all Plastic Warboss that looks just like the one in this Trailer (pause at 12 seconds in).... www.gametrailers.com/video/exclusive-e3-dawn-of-war/36030As you can see he's huge, in another trailer he towers over a Space Marine. I was going to base the body and legs around the Ork Nobz, but they're still too small, so I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions? I'm not amazing at Greenstuff so I'm saving making my own legs and body until all other resources have been exhausted. He's also got 2 Jaw plates, one on his actual jaw like usual but also one going around over his head, this I can do fairly easily. The Gun is easy and making the big round hammer won't be much of a problem, but it's the size I need help with...I didn't know if any of the Fantasy Orcs would come in handy? Cosmic EDIT: Pictures for further reference.

You could try ogryns or ogres, or search for a larger scale model from some other companies?

I always thought orks were a bit top heavy, but if you want the model not to be top heavy then Ogre legs would be good (because I think plastic is a better base for model conversions).
But How are you going to get arms that big... Ogre arms might do, holy crap I just remembered that Orge Ironguts have massive hammers and clubs.
Huh, Ogres would work, as a base.

I'd get a load of green stuff from heresy minuatures, for the same price as GW you get a whole meter of the stuff.. (not just 10 cm or so). This means you can experiment a lot and it won't cost you. (its definetly been the best purchase I made for a long while).
A project like this is just the ticket to hone your green stuff skills, I'd get some of the clay shaping tools heresy sell too, and always work with the tips wet and you'll get nice smooth finishes.
If not, then maybe bulk out an old ogryn, or look at other minuature companies for larger monsters to carve up. Depends on your budget really.

Thanks for all the suggestions people:)
I've thought long and hard and I think I might as well use this oppurtunity to hone my GS skills, so I think I'll buy another box of Knobs and extend and broaden the legs and arms a bit.
