i read somewhere that someone on this forum that a tutorial was posted on how to convert the DKOK strips supplied with the gorgan. Does anyone know where it is 'cause i cant find it anywhere. Cheers all

Those actually look alot better than I thought they would. Once I get more action posed troops, I'll add in the standers lol. I was very skeptical about this at first but I feel more comfortable now.

The Gorgon "at ease" unit was my fifth purchase after the Command, Platoon and two Firing squads, once they arrived I noticed I had more than enough DKoK troopers (given some proxy) to field a banzai swarm lol. They are the best model to cash ratio in the DKoK range.
Granted they require more work but more than worth it. From the gorgon set you get 1 Sergeant, 1 Voxer, 1 Flamer and 47 normal troopers (yes 47!) if memory serves me right.

Well I discussed with a member of librarium one about just that, and he posted lost of pictures plus link to his original post , see hereI'm in the process of separating a set of gorgon crew myself (at a slow pace that is) and some photo's can been seen at my WIP map at picasaweb. I must say it really is the best way to start collecting Death Korps miniatures. Enjoy! |

A little bit of green stuff for the serges emblem on the shoulder pad sorted. Really glad I was fortunate enough to buy my entire DKoK force right at the start, with the exception of my new Ryza Demolisher funny thing is it also included the bonus sprue (track guards, dozer blade etc) so compared to the new rip off Russ the price difference is comical, only a £10 difference for more detail, lots of extra bits and hulking resin lol.
But yeah GWs pricing is ridiculous, however there are still stores (mostly online) who sell at a cheaper price some even 22% off just need to sly and canny I guess.

i was looking for this a few weeks back wjen Kriegirk first joined and it was mentioned...... i'm currently repainting an old friend of mine, steel legion officer just so i can use him as a vet sgt  I shall have DKOK troops..... after wanting some for so long, thanks for the post aethyr  many regards, Dave |

Like I said I was skeptical about the Gorgon strips, so I never really pursued the idea after that. But after I saw some of the show hows on other forums I was pretty much sold, I'll add them in when I have more of a mix match of troops to even out the "at ease" poses. |

they do look pretty good.... ive stripped paint from an old mini i had given to me by a friend, a steel legion officer, ive moddeled a ridge down his helmet and it looks uncanny, from a distance, you wouldnt know he wasn't DKoK.... so the problem with sergeants has been resolved, in a pricey and metal kind of way  |
