I found this box set of figures randomly. www.thewarstore.com/product61791.htmlI figured with a little converting and some elbow grease I could use them as Grenadier's for the time being until I can afford real Grenadier's. Plus they were dirt cheap and have a ton of different weapon choices and are relatively the same size as GW. They stand a bit tall, but come attached to a makeshift base and the necks appear to be a bit long, so with some cutting and trimming Im sure they will fit in just fine until I grow brave enough to order from FW again. Let me know what you think or if you have any suggestions? Thank you ahead of time!

Why thank you kind sir! I just ordered them hope to see them by the end of the week! I desperately need to expand my army, two squads a command squad, engineers and two Commissars can only take you so far haha and FW prices don't help me either

Yea, im sure whoever put these together and painted them doesnnt take as much time as GW does with their promo pictures. I'll try my best not to let you down Ymmot! Love all your MS Paint pictures by the way.. hysterical!

You may want to consider using guardsman arms instead of these arms. Or, if you're confidant, guardsman hands. These guys don't have the greatest hands, even compared to GW's work.

If I can come up with enough arm bits, I'll do it, but Im going to be pretty stuck with whatever comes in that box and some random bits I have around the house.

My only problem with the heads is they look a little narrow, but otherwise I kinda like them...that could just be me though...I like things that look weird. I don't think it is going to be too noticable on the table, at least not enough to worry about it, I would trim down those giraffe necks though. www.youtube.com/watch?v=tk0i0yTPJBY

I am also removing the little base that comes cast onto their boots, it's small but tall enough to make them look taller compared to guardsman. as for the slenderness of their heads, I may just cross that bridge when I come to it. but i think the neck adjustments will make the heads look better. That video was hysterical and so true. the left and right eyball action pack and the high performance left and right foot packs for only 10 dollars! Im sold.

I have them, and used them as Stormies. Here's my experiences...
Heads- Use GW heads, the ones you get in the kit proved very frustrating to make work for some reason. The heads didn't always fit in the body sockets for some reason, and when they did, most of the time the necks were too high. Guardsman heads work nicely if you trim the collar slightly near the front, so they don't get in the way of IG helmets
Quality- Not the best, but good enough. The detail isn't up to par with GW plastics, but is better than a lot of the older GW metal minis. Guardsman arms need a little greenstuff to make them work, but the kits themselves come with grenade launchers and flamethrowers.
Overall, it's a good buy considering the price. You'll want to get guardsman heads and GW bases though.

Thank you Reds, I did a little research on them and a few people have been using them for their armies and stated the base issue. There's a whole box of bases at my local store and I can pick some up for few bucks. I think I have some extras from previous armies as well. I'll see what I can do with the heads, if they dont work do you think the Pig Iron ones would? The Kolony Militia heads (gas masked with krieg like helmets)? I just bought four of their figures too, I want to convert them into Urban Snipers.
