Somehow I had missed the 1st 4 pages of this thread. It is awesome. Your work is exemplary.

Wow, they look great. Also my Hydra arrived the other day. After using a workshop file to cut through the 2-3cm flash on the turret, and all the other bits and bobs, I'm unsure of what exactly to do. Any help /thread-jack

Well I can't help, as I said previously I couldn't assemble mine either, I just stuck the bottom plate of a russ turret to the underside of the hydra turret and mounted mine on a russ chassis.

Any help /thread-jack Straighten out any warped resin parts by dipping them in boiling water. Build the Chimera hull. You'll have to use some plasticard to fill in the gap in the bottom between the FW rear hull part and the Chimera hull. Test fit the top plate, use plasticard/green stuff as needed to get it to fit well. Getting the top plate to fit can be a pain. I drilled out holes inside the attachment rings on the turret, and in the attachment pegs on the autocannons and put magnets in them so the autocannons can elevate and depress.

Just had to take the top piece off my aegis to repair the internal cannon mounting after an unfortunate tumble. Thought I would take a couple of pics of the interior incase anyone is interested. Hopefully you cannot tell from the finished model where the kits join, and what I have added, I always try to make something that looks like it could have been bought from GW/Forgeworld, so that means disguising joins, adding details, etc. From these internal pics however you can see the three main pieces of plasticard I used to add length and height in order to give the vehicle enough internal space that you could reasonably imagine a crew needing to load and fire the weapon. The biggest difficulty in the construction was trying to work out where to position the base plate for the cannon mount. I used the resin base and uprights from the forge world medusa kit as they were, and glued them to the leman russ hull. It took a lot of measuring, and a fair amount of estimation to decide where on the hull to glue it, and whether or not the thickness of the internal detail piece would put the gun at the right height to sit above the leman russ hull and out of the enclosed crew compartment. You can also see the length of plastic tube I added to the join between the plasticard and the resin mars pattern hull extension which I used to give more surface area for the superglue. There was really no chance of the thick resin piece being supported purely by gluing the edge of the plasticard to it, the whole back would have been too flimsy. Unlike the standard russ hull the rear end sticks out beyond the sides, so I couldn't use them as an anchor point.

Here also is a shot of my inquisitor team (played in 28mm instead of 54). They are the four playable characters from the video game Conflict Desert Storm. They took a little transit damage, and are missing a sniper rifle barrel, and a shotgun, but you can see what the idea is. I will post individual pics of the four guys when my camera recharges. i loved that game the sniper is foley the rifleman is bradley the machinegunner is connors and the other guy is jones! that was the best game ever

The Isle of Man is a small island situated in the middle of the Irish Sea, so between Great Britain and Ireland.

Hey guys,
I just wanted to point out that Kirsten hasn't been active here for over a year (note her last post date was September of 2011)... I know her outside the site, and she asked me to thank you for the comments, but wanted to let you know not to be offended that she isn't/won't be replying directly.

No, she's still on the Isle of Man. I have tried to get her to start posting on IGMB again, but, unfortunately, she doesn't want to.

That's a bummer. I've used this thread as inspiration for my tanks a fair few times. Would be nice to see what she's been working on since these ones

I cannot say. I probably could... Reds then do! how else can we fix it, hit it with a stick or shine a flash light at it? Or do I need to report this to the Stavka?
