I yoinked bedaho's awesome idea of converting a PBS (see here : commissar.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=Painting&action=display&thread=13402, though without awesome greenstuff/special effects action) because I also dislike the lack of variety. Also I am a cheapskate and dislike paying for metal minis.
These were made with my Cadian plastic parts, along with some Dark Angel veteran hooded heads. The staff is vox antennae. The shield from the Overseer is a WFB bit (I may add an aquila to it or something).
Nothing is inked or drybrushed yet, mostly because I keep adding stuff ;D I think I'm going to keep the Overseer's color scheme for the custodian of the Penal Legion if I ever pick up one of those...sort of like a Military Police uniform. I also did the Scab Red/Blood Red combo on the Psykers to distinguish them from the rest of my army (see here: commissar.proboards.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=picpost&thread=13143&page=1#274814), as I figure they are "specialists" shipped in from elsewhere as opposed to a regular part of the fighting force.
